St. Augustine College Student, Anthony Toruka Scores 364 out of 400 in 2025 UTME Results

A Sixteen-year-old Anthony Chinecherem Toruka, a student at St. Augustine College, New Karu Nasarawa State, has made history with a score aggregate of 364 out of 400 in the 2025 United Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME results.

Toruka’s examinations feat makes him the first indigene from Delta State to score such high result in the UTME .

Daybreak gathered that the result which was officially released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB office on Friday showed that young Toruka scored 76 in Mathematics, 98 in Chemistry, and 96 in Physics with an aggregate of score of 364 out of overall score of 400, making him the student with the highest marks from Delta, his state of Origin.
In a statement issued from St. Augustine College new Karu, Nasarawa State, the College Principal, Rev.Fr. Michael Okpe said,” Anthony Chinecherem Toruka has earned the first top best student in the UTME since the inception of the highly revered Catholic Missionary school.”
Fr. Okpe described the brilliant student as a rear gem, a gift to the school, his family, and his generation. “.
According to the College Principal, Toruka has maintained a high and consistent academic performance since as a SS1 and has been exposed to writing external examinations .”
“In February 2022, Toruka got the best results in GCE
which he wrote in SS1 with four As and four Bs.”
The school equally encouraged him to sit for the Scholastic Aptitude Test, SAT, Examination, an international examination
where he scored 1510 out of 1600, the College Principal disclosed.
Also speaking about Toruka’s academic records, the Vice Principal Academics, Mr. Paul Sunday Adukanya recalled that in February 2024, as SS2 student the young boy , won an award of outstanding performance in lQ Mathematics and English Language competition in Nigeria in SSS category where he took first position in the whole of Nasarawa state.”
Similarly, in February 2025 in the same examination for Senior Secondary category tagged ” lQ Mathematics and English Language Academic Exposure Nigeria.”

“Young Anthony Toruka scored 44 out of 50 in Maths and 43 in English out of 50 with a total score of 87 out of 100 thereby clinching the 4th position in the Federation and first in the entire northern states , including FCT.”
The young and outstanding Anthony Toruka plans to study Software Engineering in the University.
