    Jigawa Fertiliser Distribution Committee Working Without Bias – AFAN Chairman

    The recently inaugurated Fertiliser distribution committee by the executive state governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi is working selflessly and without bias.

    This was expressed by one of the committee members who is also the chairman Jigawa state chapter of All Farmers Association(AFAN ), Alhaji Idris Yau Mai Unguwa Jaga in a chat with our correspondent adding that the committee would continue to work with all determination for the progress of Agriculture in the state.

    ” We are trying our best to ensure that what is expected from us is achieved because all the members of the committee are committed to the success of the Fertiliser distribution across Jigawa state with optimum results “.

    Mai Unguwa Jaga lamented that Jigawa Farmers would continue to benefits from governor Umar Namadi’s policy on agriculture, where he commended the governor for including agriculture into his 12 points agenda which would be another landmark to enhancing economy through profitable agriculture.

    Subsidizing fertilizer by governor Umar Namadi remained a clear indication that facilitates agricultural transformation for food production agenda.

    This was disclosed by the chairman of the All farmers association of Nigeria (AFAN) Alhaji Idris Yau Mai Unguwa Jaga shortly after inauguration a committee on the sales of fertilizer by governor Umar Namadi Friday.

    He lamented that provision of adequate fertilizer and other inputs at a subsidized rate would enable the farmers to multiply their production at both dry and rainy season with profit orientation with minimal loss, adding that governor Umar Namadi has done a commendable job by slashing the cost of fertilizers from 25,000 Naira to 16,000 only.

    ” We are certain that Jigawa farmers would benefit from the subsidy and I am sure that all those who were inaugurated to oversee the fertilizer sales would work selflessly to ensure that all categories of the farmers benefited from the gesture without bias”. He stressed.

    Idris Yau Mai Unguwa Jaga reiterated his association’s determination and zeal to promote agriculture in order to actualize good production and economic progress in Jigawa state at both dry and wet seasons, where he thanked governor Umar Namadi for putting agriculture in a front row of his 12 points agendas.

    WACOT Honours Jigawa AFAN Chairman For Products Patronage

    A renown agricultural chemicals and seeds producing company  WACOT has honoured the Jigawa state AFAN chairman Alhaji Idris Yau Mai Unguwa for being a regular user of their chemicals and other inputs in his farmalands at both dry and rainfall seasons.

    In the award plaque, the company commended Idris Yau Mai Unguwa for being one of the large scale farmers using their products adding that ” WACOT have fully recognised your patronage in our different types of products in which we decided to honour you this time”.

    Responding to our correspondent, Mai Unguwa discloses that WACOT products are genuine and whoever uses each of their products would certainly benefits from bumper harvests at all crops value chains, and the award has served as an encouragement to continue using WACOT products in his farms at both dry and rainfed seasons.

    We Are Working To Promote Agriculture In Jigawa State – AFAN Chairman

    Jigawa state farmers would continue to boost their production through the institutional co-operation between the Jigawa state government and All farmers association (AFAN) in order to makes the state one of the most exemplary food producing domain.

    This was disclosed by the state AFAN chairman, Alhaji Idris Yau Mai Unguwa popularly known as (Jaga) in an interview with our correspondent, where he stressed that the government of Jigawa state under the leadership of governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar is working selflessly towards the development of agriculture as the mainstay occupation of the people of the state.

    He lamented that the codial relationship between AFAN and the Jigawa state government remained one of the reasons why Agriculture is receiving the best consideration as an occupation that encourage self dependence in food production like what is being witnessed in other developed nations globally.

    Alhaji Idris Yau Mai Unguwa disclosed that” I am happy to state that his excellency the executive governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar is working very well to ensure that agriculture is becoming the best and profile occupation especially at present when the sector is now a channel to economic growth and promoting self-reliance.

    Commenting on the recent change in Agric ministry, Alhaji Idris Yau Mai Unguwa described the process as a boost to the Nigerian farmers because everybody knows that the person who overseers the federal ministry of agriculture can restore the lost glory of the organisation by keeping in mind that the present administration’s Policies on agriculture remained a global agenda.

    The AFAN chairman thanked the Jigawa state government for the usual supports that are rendered to his association which is the great pride to farmers adding that his leadership would continue to bring out more strategies that are profitable to agricultural sector at both dry and rainfall seasons.

    Mai Unguwa Jaga disclosed that Jigawa state chapter of the All farmers association would join hands with Jigawa state government and other agencies to control the menance of annual flooding which resulted in the loss of farm produce in the locations that are being affected annually in the state.

    In conclusion, the Jigawa state AFAN leader commended the association’s national president, Architect Kabir Ibrahim for the role he is playing to ensure that Nigerian farmers benefited from all the government programmes despites challenges.
