    Popular Comedian, Ayodeji Makun, also known as AY, has welcomed his second child after thirteen years.

    He announced this in a video shared on his Instagram page.

    The birth of their second child is coming thirteen years after they had their first child, Michelle.

    Alongside a video, AY wrote: “Our prayers in the last thirteen years has been answered. Ayomide, thank you for making Mabel and I ‘Mummy and Daddy’ again.

    “Thank you for making Michelle a big sister. Thanks to everyone who kept us in their prayers and never stopped feeding us with positive vibes.

    “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him and he will make your path straight.

    “God’s time is the best.”

    Nigerian comedian and entertainer, Ayo Makun widely known as AY have revealed that the laziness of most youth in Nigeria is due to the tragedy of unemployment in the country.

    According to AY via his Twitter handle insisted that one’s situation determines their priorities and the laziness of the Nigerian youth spurs out of a system that does not work.

    He wrote;

    “The laziness of most Nigerian youth is caused by the tragedy of Unemployment. Nothing is more heartbreaking than graduating with a good degree with no job to do or finding yourself in a system of governance that doesn’t work. Your situation sometimes determines your priorities”

    Troll slammed AY for supporting billionaire son, Kiddwaya

    AY Comedian has been slammed after he showed support for billionaire sin Kiddwaya in the ongoing BBNaija reality TV show.

    AY Comedian who said that many rich kids are nothing to write home about made an exception of out Kiddwaya.

    “I have met a lot of rich kids in Nigeria. Many of them are completely nothing to write home about. Above everything else in line with whoever you choose to support in BBN, this Kidwaya boy is looking like a gentleman with some quality leadership potentials”, AY Comedian tweeted.

    His tweet didn’t sit well with a troll who stated that his support for Kiddwaya is just a means to connect him to the boy’s wealthy family.

    AY Comedian fired back: “No worry yourself. God don WIRE some of us directly without the WAYAS.Yet we are still counting by His special grace. If i wait for Terry Waya I for don back to Warri.     AY reacts as DSTV moves NTA to channel 419

    Popular comedian, AY has reacted to DSTV moving the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, from channel 254 to 419.

    Taking to Twitter, the comedian wondered if the recent reshuffle is coincident or deliberate.

    “Good morning folks. So some have noticed the recent reshuffle on the DSTV bouquet. Our very own National and official TV station, NTA is now on channel 419. Was this deliberate or what? Is someone trying to send a message or plain coincidence?”, he tweeted.

    419 is a code used by many Nigerians to label for fraudsters.

    “Why should they use 419 of all numbers? NTA is the largest television network in Africa, so they ought to be careful”, a fan responded.

    “I don’t think there’s a problem with that. The TV station is in its right position. No station dey help am drag am”, another wrote.

    COVID-19: Popular comedian, AY offers prayer for Nigeria

    Popular Nigerian Comedian, Ayo Makun, a.k.a AY, has offered words of prayer for citizens and the country at large over the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic.

    The comedian, who took to his Instagram page @aycomedian to offer the prayers, prayed for a way out of the pandemic and asked for God’s protection upon the country and the citizens as well.

    ” Today, I pray for our local, state, federal governments and our vulnerable population to find a way out of this pandemic.

    ” May God protect our elderly and those suffering from the chronic disease.

    ” I also pray for provision for those in need, especially in this lockdown situation,” he wrote.

    “Prayer is how we actively practice, believing the fact that God has the whole world in his hands.

    “Time to let our petitions and praises shape our worries into prayers #stayhome stay safe pray for #stayhomenigeria,” he added.

    AY is a Nigerian comedian, radio and TV presenter, who happens to be one of the iconic comedians to come out of Africa.

    He is a stand up comedian and his show “AY live” is actually one of the largest in Africa.

    AY is a high profiled comedian, whose name had become so established in the industry.

    AY comedian came into the spotlight after being Alibaba’s personal assistant and events manager.

    He also wrote going “AY wire” as a guest columnist in the Nigerian Sun and Gbenga Adeyinka’s “Laugh Matterz”.

    He is married to Mabel and they have a daughter named Michelle.

    A.Y partners Chinese firm to produce new movie `30 days’

    Nigerian comedian, actor, and film producer, Ayodeji Richard Makun, a.k.a A.Y, has bagged a deal with the Huawen Movie group in China, to collaborate on the making of his next project, ‘30 Days.’

    This would be the first deal championed by AY in collaboration with Chinese film industry and Nigerian Nollywood industry.

    In an Instagram post by AY, @aycomedian who was recently in China, the film producer and actor revealed that he had a meeting with executives of Huawen Movie group.

    He captioned the picture of himself at the Chinese office of the media group. Where he wrote: “we are looking at a brighter future for Nollywood,”

    He said he was joined on the journey by Mr Wang, Chairman Huahua Media, and Moses Babatope of the Filmone Entertainment.

    In a chat with CNN Africa, Babatope says the Chinese collaboration will open up Nollywood to Chinese cinema audience and create better quality movies.

    “We will be exposed to a worthwhile and moving Chinese film market. It’s like skipping many hurdles and getting access to an existing mature market,” Babatope said.

    AY’s entry into Nollywood was with the production of ‘30 Days in Atlanta’. The production shot in collaboration with the Atlanta government was an epic that paved the way for Nigerian comic films in cinemas.

    ‘30 Days in China’ joins Makun’s comedy franchise, which includes ’30 days in Atlanta’ and ’10 days in Sun City,’ where he films adventures in new countries. (NAN)
