    CASSON Appreciates Supports During 47th Annual Conference Held In Kano – Chairperson

    The Kano State Chapter of the
    Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON) expressed it’s appreciation for the support and collaboration it enjoyed during it’s 47th Annual Conference in Kano.

    This was contained in a press statement issued to our correspondent by the association’s chairperson, Professor Ahmad Iliyasu Thursday night, adding that Kano Conference was successful where the attendance remained an indication that CASSON is fully recognized in Nigeria.

    The chairperson thanked the Vice Chancellor Bayero University, Kano Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas and his management team, Professor Abdulrashid Garba the Vice Chancellor of Khalifa Isiyaku Rabi’u University who was the Keynote Speaker and Professor Bulama Kagu, Lead Paper Presenter.

    Similarly he commended the National Exco Members, ICONS, Fellows, members, Deputy Senate President, Sen. Barau Jibrin Maliya, Alhaji Umar Yahaya Kansila, Professor Bala Zakari Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical) of Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) as well as the Rector, Kano State Polytechnic Associate professor Kabir Bello Dungurawa and the Vice Chancellor Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano, Professor Muktar Atiku Kurawa.

    In conclusion, Professor Ahmed Iliyasu hails the Vice Chancellor Sadatu Rimi University of Education, Kano, the Provost Federal College of Education, Kano and his counterpart, the Provost, Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies(AKCC).

    CASSON Committed To Promote Professionalism Through Better Guidance – Kano Chairperson

    The Kano state chapter of the Counselling Association Of Nigeria (CASSON),Professor Ahmed Iliyasu has reiterated his association’s determination towards the successful actualization of professionalism with better guidance and counselling to the learners.

    He disclosed this in an interview with our correspondent shortly after the association’s 47th annual national Conference held recently in Kano, adding that guidance and counselling remained he backbone that facilitates professionalism in every sector.

    Professor Ahmed Iliyasu further described the just concluded CASSON annual conference as the best and we’ll organized that pave ways of discussing the way forward in the Nigerian education sector in a present era and how to ensure good career development with the full version of guidance and counseling not only in schools but in general dispensation.

    Commenting about the annual conference, Professor Iliyasu thanked all those who offered their helping hands right from the organisation of the gathering to the end of the programme, adding that the 2023 CASSON conference held in Kano was colourful and educative.

    ” We are happy to announce that the Kano conference has brought more recognition to our association especially how the organization thrilled the participants and delegates from all the 36 states and FCT, while we must thank our host, the Bayero University whose role remained fully recognised by all those who graces the gathering from different professions and bodies ”

    In conclusion, Professor Ahmed Iliyasu reassured that CASSON would continue to spread the impacts of guidance and counselling to all other fields so as to promote professionalism that would transform the learners to an exemplary level with optimum results.

    Counselling Association Of Nigeria(CASSON) held it’s 47th Annual Conference in Kano with even attendance from the 36 states and FCT in a colourful deliberations.

    The states presidents of the association were in Kano to participate in the remarkable event which was done at the convocation arena of the Bayero University, Kano where a full version of discussions were made to promote education and discipline.

    Speaking at the occasion, the national president of the association Professor Malami Umar Tambawal who is also the Vice Chancellor, Shehu Shagari University Sokoto states that Counselling Association Of Nigeroa (CASSON) was formed to become as a tool for giving excellent guidance to the learners that are bound to becoming professionals in different carreers.

    ” CASSON was purely formed in order to serve as a good ladder of climbing the success in accordance with how the learners took advantage over what they intends to choose as their stage of progress and national service and we are always ready to ensure that our association continue to makes things more straight forward to our young ones”.

    He commended the association’s members for being at the 47th annual Conference from all look and cranny of this country,and thanked the Kano state executives for their commitment towards the full success of the Conference respectively.

    In his remark on behalf of the Kano state governor, the commissioner for education Honourable Haruna Doguwa disclosed that Kano state government is making good arrangements to restore education sector, adding that education would become an exemplary sector in the state and congratulates the association for being more steadfast in giving genuine counselling to students of all categories.

    Responding to a question from our correspondent, the Rector, Kano state Polytechnic Dr. Kabir Bello Dungurawa states that ‘ We are happy with how the 47th annual conference was held in our state and from what we have realised, CASSON is now very much famous in the educational sector especially how we promote learning through good counseling to students”. He concluded.

    The students of Various institutions who spoke to our correspondent lamented that the existence of Counselling association of Nigeria has brought good advantage of how a learners makes choose in careers and profession, urging the governments to directs the inclusion of the section in their schools for better educational progress.

    Kano Poly Rector Conferred With CASSON Fellowship

    The Rector Kano state Polytechnic Dr. Kabir Bello Dungurawa was conferred with Counselling association of Nigeria (CASSON) Fellowship in a colourful ceremony held at the federal college of education Yola Adamawa state during the association’s international conference last Tuesday, 16th August, 2022.

    In his remark during the occasion, Dr. Dungurawa stated that his conferment is an encouragement to him especially at present when there is a great progress in the Nigerian education system, where he reiterated his determination to ensure the success of the association.

    “I wish to commend all those who worked towards the progress of our association and I am certain that we would do everything necessary to ensure that CASSON remain beneficial to promoting career promotion and peofessionalism”. He concluded.
