    Kaduna: Chairmanship hopeful picks LG election form for Chikun amidst heavy jubilation

    Chairmanship hopeful, Hon. Ekene Abubakar Adams has picked the nomination form for Chikun Local Government Council Election on the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) Kaduna state.
    Hon. Ekene, in company of his teaming supporters stormed the Secretariat of APC around 12:15pm and obtained the party’s form amdist heavy cheering, jubilation and dancing by the supporters in colourful T-shirts and facing cap bearing his names and party logo.
    Intimidating cloud, Ekene’s long cue of convoy of lebelled cars, buses and motorcycles sparked alot of surprises as residents and other road users trippled out or stop to catch the climps of what appeared more like governorship Election compaign in the entire state..
    Speaking to journalists after purchasing interest form for over N1 million, the humorous , slim and tall looking contestant said he’s taken the form to go and show his teaming supporters because he believes in giving back to the society of his achievement.

    Accordingt to him, anybody who formed the habit of given back to the society, the sky wouldl be his limits.

    “If have the habit of giving back to the society the sky will be your limit. I’m not going their to make money but to improve the lives of the people in the society”, he said.
    The chairmanship aspirants took pains and time to showed the form covering almost 30 percent of entire population of the Chikun Local government Ward’s within the state metropolis. End.

    18 killed, Many abducted as Armed Bandits attack 2LGAs in Kaduna

    No fewer than eighteen people have been killed in Igabi and Chikun local government areas of Kaduna state.

    This follows a sequence of attacks by armed bandits on the local government areas in the last forty eight hours.

    A yet to be verified number of people have been abducted, and about 20 cows rustled.

    Many houses and food barns have been razed, while an unspecified number of injured victims are receiving treatment in hospital.

    The Kaduna state government says but for operations by air platforms and ground troops, things would have been worse.

    The governor, Nasir El-Rufai commends the crews for their successful missions which saw the extermination of many bandits.

    He is saddened at the incidents and sends condolences to families of all those killed in these attacks.

    He wishes the injured quick recovery and prays for the repose of lives lost.

    Again bandits wasted 3 in Chikun LG in Kaduna

    Security agencies have reported that armed bandits attacked a commercial vehicle around Yakwo village in Chikun local government area and killed three passenger, kaduna security report update for late Saturday has revealed. 

    Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, Samuel Aruwan, in a statement availed Sunday morning, stated that those killed are Rilwanu Mohammed, Mardiyya  Ibrahim and Ja’afaru Makarfi respectively.

    The release stated that Governor Nasir El-Rufai of laduna state expressed sadness at the report, and prayed for the repose of the souls of those killed by bandits, while sending condolences to their families. 

    He stated that Investigations into the incidents “are in progress, as troops intensify patrols in the general areas. 
    Recalled that indigenous Adara tribes had recently revealed that Fulani herdsmen are the ones killing and not bandits as painted by the media.

    Bandits kill four in Giwa, Chikun, Igabi LGAs in Kaduna

    Four people have been killed in isolated locations of Giwa, Chikun and Igabi local government areas of Kaduna state.

    Security personnel said one of the victims, Ibrahim Salisu was killed after an attempt to kidnap him by the bandits.

    Similarly, Abdullahi Saleh, a herder, was killed along the Kangimi axis, on the Kaduna-Jos Road in Igabi local government.

    The state governor, Nasir El-Rufai has condoled with the  families of the slain citizens.

    Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in the state, Samuel Aruwan said intensified ground and air patrols will be sustained in Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Igabi and Chikun local government areas, linking up to Niger State.
