    Gov Ganduje Approves Posting Of 14 Perm Secretaries

    Posting of the recently appointed Permanent Secretaries gets the approval of the Kano State Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as all the 12 appointees know their places of responsibility.

    All the postings are with immediate effect, while the governor directed them to work diligently to further propel public service in the state. The new permanent Secretaries we’re posted to their respective ministries where Engineer Mansur Yakubu is posted to Ministry of Works, Salisu Dan Azumi posted to the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr Sa’adatu Sa’idu Bala will go to the Ministry for Women Affairs.

    Others are Baba Sharif Uba Dala was assigned to Government House, Aliyu Yakubu Garo will go to Ministry of Environment and Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi is posted to Ministry for Education.

    The new posting includes Abbas Sanusi, who is posted to Special Duties, Cabinet Office, Dr Tijjani Hussain takes charge of State Primary Healthcare Development Agency as Permanent Secretary and Yahaya Nuhu Amasaye to State Pension Board.

    Hajiya Aisha Abba Kailani also posted to Human Resources,Mustapha Madaki Huguma goes to Public Procurement and Musa Tanko Garko is now the new Permanent Secretary Protocol.

    Similarly, Bello Tukur is posted to the Ministry of Transport and Tijjani Bello posted to the Ministry of Water Resources where Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje directed them to be proponents of team work and compliants to the philosophy of global best practice. Adding that, their appointment as Permanent Secretaries from the onset, followed rigorous procedures and diligent screening of their track record as disciplined public officers.

    2023: Ganduje refuses to Endorse Amaechi

    Governor Umar Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has refused to endorse the presidential aspiration of Rotimi Amaechi, former Minister of Transportation.

    Amaechi, who was in Kano for his presidential campaign and also to meet with delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates ahead of the primary elections of the party, told Ganduje, “I know your position as far as our party presidential candidature is concerned, and I want you to change for me”.

    However, Ganduje, believed to be supporting Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ambition, told him, “Kano is a swing state and we will continue to swing until the end, so try and be part of the swings”.

    However, Ganduje commended Amaechi for his endearing efforts in standing with the APC and fighting for it in the wee hours of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidency.

    He said, “We are aware how you suffered for our party at the mega movement of its formation, as DG Buhari Campaign Director, we knew how you were harrassed as Governor of Rivers State and how you were at a time denied from flying out from Kano which made you travel to Abuja by road.”

    2023: Ganduje withdraws from Senatorial race

    The Kano state governor Abdullahi Ganduje has withdrawn his Senatorial ambition for Senator Barau Jibrin representing the Kano North Senatorial Zone to resolve the heightening crises in the leading All Progressive Congress (APC).

    This is coming after Ganduje had obtained the form to express intention to aspire for the position in the oncoming party primaries.

    Reports reaching Vanguard have it that there were series of meetings between Ganduje and Sen Jibrin with other top APC members in Abuja where the agreement was said to have been reached for the Governor to let go his ambition for peace to reign in the party.

    Sen Jibrin is reported to have insisted that he would not dump APC even as his gubernatorial ambition has been blocked by Ganduje.

    However, following the defections tsunami in the Kano APC in which many actors have left the party to other parties seeking platforms to contest for their intended positions, Ganduje agreed that some bigwigs in the party, including Barau Jibrin, should be allowed to have their ways back to Senate to save the party.

    This information is confirmed by the Party’s state Secretary Zakari Sarina who said there has been tangible agreement s at high levels.

    “Yes there were tangible understandings between the duo and soon everybody will know this position” he said.

    Ganduje Directs HOS To Oversee Chief Of Staff Office

    Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has directed the Head of Civil Service, Usman Bala, mni to oversee the Office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor with immediate effect.

    A statement issued by the commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, indicated that the supervision would be pending the appointment of a substantive Chief of Staff.

    The governor, according to the statement added, expressed the hope for effective supervision and coordination by the Head of Service, having served in the office before.

    Ganduje’s Chief Of Staff Joins NNPP

    Ali Makoda, who was until Friday the Chief of Staff to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

    Ganduje appointed Makoda chief of staff in 2019. Makoda had previously served as the commissioner for environment.

    In April, he tendered his resignation as chief of staff, but Ganduje rejected his letter.

    He was said to have joined NNPP on Friday night after a meeting with Rabiu Kwankwaso, former governor of the state.

    Kwankwaso is also a presidential hopeful on the platform of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

    Kwankwaso was said to have received Makoda and other defectors at his Miller road residence in Kano.

    Other APC members in the state who dumped the ruling party alongside Makoda were Badamasi Ayyuba, member, house of representatives; Murtala Sule Kore, member, a member of the state house of assembly; Alhaji Mamuda, chairman of Makoda LGA.

    Abdulmumin Jibrin, a former house of representatives member and director-general of the Bola Tinubu support group, was also said to have joined NNPP on Friday, after a meeting with Kwankwaso.

    Meanwhile, Ibrahim Shekarau, a former Kano governor, is also rumoured to be making plans to join the NNPP.

    Surayya Sai Mama who is also one of the appointed personalities that are working selflessly towards the progress of youths and sports in Kano state that promotes Kano pillars, where she specialized in the promotion of youths and sports with optimum results.

    Prior to the incescent calls by the people of Dawakin Tofa Local government area to governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to aspire for the Kano North senatorial seat in 2023, the executive chairman of the council Honourable Ado Tambai Kwa promised to work selflessly to ensure that the governor emerged victorious with optimum results.

    He made this known in a chat with our correspondent shortly after the elders and APC stakeholders Forum from Dawakin Tofa local government area stormed Kano government House and called on the governor to join the Senatorial race where they also donated huge amount of money for the purchase of a nomination form to the Governor at the end of the courtesy visit.

    Alhaji Ado Tambai kwa added that ” the people of Dawakin Tofa are solidly behind his Excellency Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to join this race to represent Kano North senatorial district in the Nigeria’s parliament, and we are ready to work selflessly in order to ensure that Ganduje emerged winner in the forthcoming general elections with wider margin”. He emphasized.

    Ado Tambai kwa announced that Ganduje has been doing a lot to the people of Kano state from 2015 to date without bias,therefore it is time for the people of Kano North senatorial district to send him to the Nigerian Senate in order to benefit more from his long-term political experience at the kano North senatorial zone and the nation in general.

    In conclusion, Alhaji Ado Tambai called on the entire people of Kano North senatorial district which comprised 13 local government areas to support the aspiration of governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for better representation and more democratic dividends across the Kano North senatorial Zone.

    2023 Election: Gov Ganduje Orders All Political Appointees Running for Elective Offices To Resign

    Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has directed all political appointees running for elective offices in the forthcoming 2023 general elections to resign from their respective positions.

    In a press statement signed and issued to newsman in Kano by the chief press secretary to the Governor Abba Anwar, the directive said ” All political appointees are given between now to Monday 18th April, 2022, to resign.” so as to comply with Section 84 (12) of the newly amended Electoral Act.

    Investigation shows that even that before the directive from the state government, a commissioner for water resources Sadiq Wali and some few appointees resigned their appointments in order to fully prepare for the 2023 battlefield vying into various elective positions.

    Following the recent directive from the Kano state government that any political appointee seeking elective positions should resign by 18-04-2022, many commissioners and special advisers have rendered their resignation letters in order to fully participate in the forthcoming general election into various positions.

    Our correspondent gathered that as at the time of filling this report, no fewer that 7 commissioners who are members of the state executive council as well as some advisers have resigned to fully prepare for the battle, while more are getting set to resign according to a source close to the government.

    It could be recalled that Malam Sadiq Wali, water resources commissioner was the first member of the Kano state executive council who tendered his resignation letter which was also accepted by the state governor Absullahi Umar Ganduje.

    The commissioners who tendered their resignation letters include Murtala Sule Garo, Commissioner for local government, Ibrahim Ahmed Karaye, Tourism,Muktar Ishaq Yakasai special duties, Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, Rural development, Sunusi Kiru education and Nura Dankadai, budget and planning.

    Furthermore, some special advisers and many aides have resigned in order to take part in the political activities which can be described as a good development towards the progress of the Nigeria’s democracy as recommended by the amended electoral law.

    Governor Ganduje Reappoints Professor Wailare As ABCOA Provost

    The Executive Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the reappointment of Professor Muhammad Abdu Wailare, as Provost of the Audu Bako College of Agriculture (ALCOA) Dambatta.

    Ganduje made this known in a press statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) , Office of the Commissioner for Higher Education in Kano , Halima Gwarzo, on Monday.

    Furthermore, the Governor confirmed the appointment of Rabiu Ado Musa, as the Deputy Provost, Anas Ibrahim Dansarai as Bursar, Bayero Sidi Dangoro as the College Librarian, and Dr Sani Haruna as Director Academic Planning Unit.

    According to the statement, the appointments were in recognition of the competence, proven integrity and academic qualifications of the appointees.

    Speaking on the development, Ganduje charged the newly appointed officials to work closely with all sections of the institution, including the academic staff, non-academic staff, students as well as other communities of the institution, while all the appointments were with immediate effects.
