    Nasarawa Assembly approves 20 Special Advisers for Gov. Sule.

    “… as it proceeds on recess to pave way for state govt to renovate assembly complex…”

    Nasarawa State House of Assembly has approved the request of Gov. Abdullahi Sule for the appointment of 20 Special Advisers.

    The Speaker of the House, Rt.Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi announced the approval during an emergency sitting of the House today in Lafia.

    The Speaker said that the speedy approval was to enable the Governor appoint the 20 Special Advisers that would assist him in achieving his administration’s good policies and programmes in the State.

    ” His Excellency has sent request for the appointment of 20 Special Advisers that will assist him in the consolidation of his policies and programmes

    ” After extensive deliberation on His Excellency request, the request is hereby granted by this Honourable House,” he said.

    The Speaker assured of the House readiness to partner with the executive arm in order to ensure speedy development across the State.

    In their contributions, Rt. Hon Jacob Kudu ( APC- Nassarawa Eggon East) Hon Danladi Jatau ( APC- Kokona West) Hon Suleiman Azara ( APC- Awe South), Hon Larry Ven Bawa ( APC- Akwanga North) , Hon Solomon Akwashiki (SDP- Lafia Central) , Hon Musa Ibrahim Abubakar( NNPP- Doma South and Hon Hajara Danyaro ( APC- Nasarawa Central) among others gave full support of the Assembly to approve the request of the Special Advisers.

    The lawmakers said that the appointment of the Special Advisers would ensure speedy development across the State.

    in a related development, the Speaker Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi announced that Gov. Abdullahi Sule has approved total renovation of the assembly complex.

    This he said was inline with the State Government commitment to create an enabling environment for the lawmakers and other staff for effective service delivery.

    He said that the Ministry of Works would soon commence the work at the assembly.

    ” We are proceeding on recess today 8th June, to resume on July 10, to enable the Ministry of Work renovate the House as approve by His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule,” he said

    Hon Mohammed Adamu Omadefu, ( APC- Keana), the Majority Leader of the House moved a motion for the House to proceed on recess.

    Hon Musa Ibrahim Abubakar,( NNPP- Doma South), the Minority Leader of the House seconded the motion.

    Nasarawa lawmaker Donates 50 wheel chairs to persons with disabilities

    Member, representing Keana Constituency at the Nasarawa state House of Assembly, Hon Mohammed Adamu Omadefu, member representing Keana constituency  has donated 50 wheel chairs to persons with Disabilities in his constituency in order to  change their lives positively.

    Omadefu, while donating the wheel chairs on Wednesday, said that the gesture was borne out of his desire to improve on the standard of living of the beneficiaries.

    It would be reported that the donation was in  collaboration with Beautiful Gate Handicap People’s Center.

    Omadefu, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Information, urged the beneficiaries to use the wheel chairs for the purpose they are meant for.

    ” This donation was part of my commitment to change the lives of our disabled persons positively.

    “I want to assure you and the people of my constituency of my continue readiness to provide the much needed dividends of democracy,” he said.

    Omadefu has also assured the people of his constitency of sound and  quality representation at the state legislation.

    He solicited for support from all and sundry to enable him succeed.

    The lawmaker called on the people of his constituency and  the state to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’ s administration beyond 2023.

    Some of the beneficiaries who spoke at the event appreciated the lawmaker for the gesture promised to use them for the purpose they are meant for.

    The event had in attendance the state APC Caretaker Committee Secretary Aliyu Bello, some of the lawmakers colleague among other personalities.
