    NEMA Donates Relief Materials to Kaduna Attack Victims

    The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has stepped in to assist the victims of recent attacks in Kaduna State by donating crucial relief materials. This aid is aimed at supporting those affected by both the violent incidents and a fire outbreak in Igabi Local Government Area.

    Malam Imam Garki, NEMA’s Kaduna Zonal Coordinator, presented the relief items to Mr. Hussaini Jallo, the member representing Igabi Federal Constituency, for distribution. The affected areas include Igabi, Rigachikun, Kerawa, Kwarau, Birnin Yero, Sabon Birni, Afaka, Fanshanu, Gwaraji, Rigasa, Zangon Aya, and Turunku.

    The donation comprises food and non-food items such as rice, maize, vegetable oil, clothing for all age groups, towels, mattresses, plastic buckets, plates, spoons, sanitary towels, diapers, and detergents. Mr. Jallo praised NEMA for its swift response to the disaster, while Malam Musa Garba, Chairman of the Distribution Committee, expressed gratitude and hope for continued success in NEMA’s efforts.

    Representatives from the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency, security agencies, and local stakeholders attended the event, underscoring the collaborative effort to address the needs of the affected communities.     18 killed, Many abducted as Armed Bandits attack 2LGAs in Kaduna

    No fewer than eighteen people have been killed in Igabi and Chikun local government areas of Kaduna state.

    This follows a sequence of attacks by armed bandits on the local government areas in the last forty eight hours.

    A yet to be verified number of people have been abducted, and about 20 cows rustled.

    Many houses and food barns have been razed, while an unspecified number of injured victims are receiving treatment in hospital.

    The Kaduna state government says but for operations by air platforms and ground troops, things would have been worse.

    The governor, Nasir El-Rufai commends the crews for their successful missions which saw the extermination of many bandits.

    He is saddened at the incidents and sends condolences to families of all those killed in these attacks.

    He wishes the injured quick recovery and prays for the repose of lives lost.

    Kaduna: Bandits Kill Four In Igabi, Kajuru LGAs

    At least four people have been killed by bandits during an attack in communities in Igabi and Kajuru local government areas of Kaduna state.

    The bandits, according to the State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, attacked Nasarawa Kalgo community on the outskirts of Jaji, Rigachikun district in Igabi local government area, and killed
    a resident, Harrisu Ibrahim.

    Similarly, armed bandits attacked the Kujama area of Chikun local government area, and were repelled by local vigilantes.

    However, as they retreated to their hideouts, the bandits attacked Janwuriya village in Kajuru local government area, and killed two brothers, Nuhu Ishaya and Yakubu Ishaya.

    In a separate incident, bandits invaded Maraban Kajuru, also in Kajuru local government area and killed one resident, Samiru Na Ya’u.

    Meanwhile, Governor Nasir El-Rufai has expressed sadness over the incidents , and prays for the repose of the souls of the slain, while sending his condolences to their families, Aruwan’s statement said.

    The Governor also tasked security agencies to conduct diligent investigations into the incidents.

    Bandits kill four in Giwa, Chikun, Igabi LGAs in Kaduna

    Four people have been killed in isolated locations of Giwa, Chikun and Igabi local government areas of Kaduna state.

    Security personnel said one of the victims, Ibrahim Salisu was killed after an attempt to kidnap him by the bandits.

    Similarly, Abdullahi Saleh, a herder, was killed along the Kangimi axis, on the Kaduna-Jos Road in Igabi local government.

    The state governor, Nasir El-Rufai has condoled with the  families of the slain citizens.

    Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in the state, Samuel Aruwan said intensified ground and air patrols will be sustained in Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Igabi and Chikun local government areas, linking up to Niger State.
