Napoli Turns Down Al-Hilal’s €130 Million Offer for Victor Osimhen

    By Daniel Edu

Saudi Pro League club, Al-Hilal, made an ambitious bid of €130 million to acquire Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Italian Serie A champions, Napoli. However, Napoli swiftly rejected the offer, indicating their intention to keep the 24-year-old forward and value him at no less than €200 million.

Reports suggest that Al-Hilal, backed by the multi-billion-dollar royal wealth fund PIF, sought to convince Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis to sell Osimhen to them after failing to secure the services of Paris Saint Germain’s Kylian Mbappe.

Osimhen’s outstanding performances played a pivotal role in Napoli’s triumphant Scudetto-winning campaign last season. With 26 goals and five assists in 32 games, the Nigerian striker helped the Italian side secure the Serie A title for the first time in over three decades during the 2022-2023 season.

His exceptional form earned him the prestigious Golden Boot title and the best striker of the Season award, making him the first African player in Serie A history to achieve such an honor.

Despite Al-Hilal’s substantial offer, Napoli remains firm in their desire to retain Osimhen and is instead focusing on negotiating a new, long-term contract with him to secure his future at the club. Napoli values the player at over €200 million, reflecting his importance to the team and his potential in the transfer market.

The Saudi Pro League has witnessed a significant influx of European players this summer, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo making a move to Al Nassr in December 2022, which may have motivated other elite players to join the league as well.

Al Hilal Submits Astounding £259 Million Bid for Kylian Mbappe from PSG

    By Daniel Edu

In a stunning development, Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal has presented an incredible £259 million bid to acquire the services of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The 24-year-old forward, who has an impressive record with four Ligue 1 titles at PSG and one at Monaco, is currently entangled in a contract dispute as his contract with PSG is set to expire next summer.

Mbappe has reportedly declined to exercise the one-season contract extension option and expresses his desire not to be sold this summer, with plans to join Real Madrid next summer for free. In response, PSG is keen on extending the Frenchman’s contract this summer or securing a lucrative transfer deal before the transfer window closes.

The situation has taken a dramatic turn, with PSG excluding Mbappe from the team as they prepare for the upcoming season outside France. Reports suggest that PSG is aware of an alleged agreement between Mbappe and Real Madrid for his future move, leading the club to explore all measures to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Taking advantage of the uncertainty, Al Hilal has placed a record-breaking bid of £259 million for the coveted forward. Should the deal go through, Mbappe would become the most expensive player in football history, surpassing Neymar’s £200 million transfer from FC Barcelona to PSG in 2017.

While PSG is expected to consider the offer, there remains uncertainty whether Mbappe will accept a two-year deal, even with a clause facilitating a move to Real Madrid next summer. The football world eagerly awaits the final outcome of this high-stakes contract saga.

PSG Sets Sights on Osimhen as Mbappe’s Possible Replacement

Rumors are swirling that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is gearing up to launch a strong bid for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen in the event that Kylian Mbappe departs this summer.

According to reports from Corriere dello Sport via Napolista, PSG is keeping a close eye on Osimhen as a potential successor to the talented French forward.

PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has allegedly presented Mbappe with a two-week ultimatum to either commit to a new contract or seek opportunities elsewhere. The club is unwilling to let him go for free and is determined to avoid such a scenario.

Mbappe’s contract is set to expire after the upcoming season, and PSG cannot exercise the one-year option clause to extend his stay. Consequently, the club is eager to secure a transfer fee if they part ways with the star player.

While PSG had previously expressed interest in Osimhen, they were unable to meet Napoli’s valuation of €150 million. However, if Mbappe is sold, PSG’s financial landscape could undergo a transformation.

Osimhen, currently engaged in contract negotiations with Napoli, could potentially become the highest-paid player in the club’s history if both parties reach an agreement.

Despite considering the prospect of extending his tenure in Naples, the 24-year-old Nigerian forward might still opt to depart this summer if Napoli fails to meet his demands and a suitor emerges that is willing to meet his valuation.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will attempt to get Kylian Mbappe to sign a new contract after fending off interest from Real Madrid, the Parisien newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The Parisien said PSG’s first offer to the forward was an extension until 2026 with an annual net salary of 26 million euros (31 million dollars).

A second offer for an extension until 2024 based on a net salary of 45 million euros per year was also turned down by Mbappe.

This is more than Neymar and newcomer Lionel Messi receive.

  • Real Madrid close in on Mbappe, secure extension with Casemiro

Real Madrid close in on Mbappe, secure extension with Casemiro

Kylian Mbappe arrived at the training ground of French clubside Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on Friday amid the expectation Real Madrid would push to complete his signing in the coming hours.

Mbappe wore a white baseball cap and white T-shirt, and whether by accident or design that only fuelled anticipation of a blockbuster move to Los Blancos.

One deal Real Madrid did complete on Friday was with midfielder Casemiro, who has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until June 2025.

The Brazilian’s original deal was set to expire at the conclusion of next season.

According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid have offered 170 million euros (200 million dollars) plus 10 million euros in add-ons for Mbappe.

Mbappe, 22, has entered the final year of his PSG contract and there has been no indication of a desire on his part to extend his stay.

He would be able to leave on a free transfer at the end of the current season, were he not to agree new terms.

PSG sporting director Leonardo was also pictured making his way into the training facility.

Earlier this week, Leonardo expressed dissatisfaction as the saga unfolded, with PSG having heavily invested during the close season to assemble a formidable squad.

They have brought in Lionel Messi from FC Barcelona in a staggering move, as well as acquiring the likes of Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum and Achraf Hakimi.

Messi could make his debut against Reims, but that factor was being overshadowed by the prospect of PSG possibly losing Mbappe.

The Frenchman is a player they hoped to build the team around for years to come.

Leonardo said on Wednesday: “We cannot be happy with this situation, because we did something this summer.

“We have created a dream, we will not let anyone destroy it or position themselves above the club.

“Kylian is at the centre of the project but not above it. We created a positive atmosphere, a desire, an emotion. That was our plan.”

Casemiro will now remain at the Santiago Bernabeu for a further two years after putting pen to paper on fresh terms.

The 29-year-old is the latest player to extend his stay in the Spanish capital after Karim Benzema and Federico Valverde also committed their future in the past week.

Casemiro has made 288 appearances for Real Madrid since arriving from Sao Paolo on an initial loan spell in January 2013, scoring 30 goals.

He has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell with the club, winning four UEFA Champions League titles, three FIFA Club World Cups and Spanish La Liga on two occasions.

The Brazil international was also part of the Selecao squad which won the 2019 Copa America.

Real Madrid make £137m transfer bid for PSG forward, Kylian Mbappe

Real Madrid have made a £137m (€160m) bid to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.

The La Liga giants reportedly made the offer on Sunday August 21, and Paris Saint-Germain are yet to respond to their proposal.

Mbappe is out of contract at the Parc des Princes next summer and he has so far refused to sign a new deal, despite PSG’s attempts to get the France international to commit his future to the club.

The 22-year-old has told PSG that his dream is to play for Real Madrid, who have been linked with a move for the World Cup winner throughout the summer transfer window.

Mbappe has scored 133 times and made 63 assists in 174 games for PSG in all competitions and has helped them towards 11 major domestic honours, including three Ligue 1 titles.

He arrived from Monaco on an initial season-long loan in 2017 and was signed permanently for £165.7m a year later.

It was earlier reported that the deal would see Mbappe move to Real Madrid with Cristiano Ronaldo to move to PSG from Juventus.

Ronaldo is also out of contract next summer and has not told Juventus he wants to leave, but the Serie A club would not stand in his way if another club bid for him.

The French broadcaster say the Reds manager is now personally involved in getting the deal done, with Mbappe said to be tempted by the prospect of being the undisputed star of the show at Anfield.

Meanwhile Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri is set to join Deportivo Alaves for the remainder of the season on loan, Goal can confirm.

The 19-year-old winger signed for United on the final day of the summer transfer window but, with competition high in the first team and a lack of minutes available, he will join the Liga side until the end of the season to aid his development.

Also, Paris Saint-Germain are looking to agree a deal that will allow them to keep Dele Alli beyond the end of an initial loan deal, reports Eurosport.

The Ligue 1 giants are confident that they can lure the England international midfielder away from Tottenham, with the potential there for a permanent agreement to be pushed through in the summer.
