    Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, says only the over 100 casual staff of the House as approved by Gov. Abdullahi Sule would be absorbed into the main stream of the civil service in the State.

    This he has warned against the inclusion of outsiders in the ongoing recruitment process of the casual staff of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

    The Speaker stated this while playing host to officials of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria ( PASAN), Nasarawa State Chapter in his office today in Lafia

    Abdullahi said that absorption of the casual staff would improve on their standard of living and that of their family members.

    ” His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule has given an Approval for the absorption of the whole casual staff of the State Assembly not for any other person from outside”

    ” I told my Honourable members and members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Service Commission that there is no slot for anybody”

    ” I want to assure you that only the casual staff will be full regularized and absorbed into the main stream civil service in this Assembly,” he said

    “many of them are here for many years, some 15 years some above, this is a golden opportunity for them and I can not allowed them to be short changed, all of them will get it as approved by the Governor” the Speaker added.

    The Speaker congratulated the new officials on their well deserved victories during the election.

    He appreciated members of the association for always supporting his policies and programmes.

    ” There is perfect relationship between PASAN leadership and the House authority.

    ” PASAN is one body that I appreciate so much . You struggle for financial autonomy of the State Houses of Assembly and today by God’s grace, we have achieved that.

    ” Very soon, it is going to be implemented,” he said.

    The Speaker assured them of his full support to the association to succeed.

    He called on the members of the association and other people of the State to continue to give Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration full support to succeed.

    ” There was never a time that I took the House problem to His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule without him listening or given approval to our request.

    ” What we want in the assembly is peace and development”

    ” So that we will have a better Assembly,” he added.

    Earlier, Comrade Suleiman Oshafu, the Chairman, PASAN, Nasarawa State said that the visit was a familarization aimed at introducing the new officials of the association to the Speaker of the House.

    He commended the Speaker for his purposeful leadership which has brought peace and improved the stadandard of living of the staff of the Assembly.

    ” We are happy over your leadership style as this Assembly has never had it so good like now.

    ” There is peace, unity, progress and development and most importantly, the approval for the regularization/ absorption of the whole casual staff of the assembly.

    ” We appreciate and we are grateful to you for that struggle sir,” he said.

    ” in are praying for you, we are in support of you and it is our hope that the next Assembly Hon. Members will return you as the Speaker because you have done greatly well” Comrade Oshafu added.

    Oshafu assured of their readiness to be law abiding, loyal and supportive to the speaker and government of the day to succeed.

    The chairman also prayed for the success of the Speaker as the 7th Assembly Speaker.

    He, however, appealed to the Speaker for payment of retirement benefits, payment of promotion arrears, annual increment, training and re-training of staff, leave grant, involvement of staff in House activities among others.

    Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has thrown his weight behind the emergence of Justice Ahmed Ubangari (Rtd)as the new Aren Eggon and paramount ruler of Eggon nation.

    A Statement by Press Secretary to the Speaker, Jibrin Gwamna, said the Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi has congratulated the entire Eggon Nation for the successful emergence of their paramount ruler.

    The statement quotes the Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi as congratulating the new Aren Eggon justice Ahmed Ubangari (Rtd) over his emergence.

    The Speaker said the atmosphere that followed the announcement of Justice Ahmed Ubangari Rtd as the new Aren Eggon was peaceful and an indication of his general acceptance and wished him God’s guidance, wisdom and protection as he settle down to pilot the affairs of his forefathers.

    He called on the entire Eggon people to give the New Arren Eggon Rtd Justice Ahmed Ubangari all the necessary support to enable him succeed.

    It would be recalled that on Friday May 5, Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State approved the appointment of Ubangari as new Aren Eggon.

    Sule gave the approval shortly after being presented with the report of the committee saddled with the responsibility of conducting the selection of the new Aren Eggon, at the Government House.

    The Governor explained that the selection of the new Aren Eggon was conducted in accordance with Eggon tradition and in line with the strict policy of transparency under his administration.

    It would also be reported that Ubangari succeeds the late Dr Bala Abaine Angbazo, who died in July 2022.

    The Nasarawa state Speaker of the Nasarawa state House of Assembly Rt Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abfullahi has said there is the need for for the APC to have regular meetings where stakeholders, people at the local government and ward levels will air out their views, advises and suggestions in order to strengthen the party in the state.

    The speaker made the call when Facts Finding and Reconciliations Committee of All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Nasarawa State visited him at the State House of Assembly on Thursday in Lafia.

    “all those that matters in Nasarawa State are in APC, so we most do all it takes to maintain our strength not to allow division among us”

    The Speaker of the House appreciated the committee for the visit and has assured them of their readiness to continue to mobilise support for the party.

    ” I heard all what the chairman said. I want to happily inform you that we have 20 members out of 24 members in this House.

    ” I had a discussion with a member of the opposition in the House , he will join us very soon.

    ” Mr Chairman and other members of this committee, the problem is that some people are in the party but are working against the interest of the party for their own selfish and personal interest,”

    “We must all unite for the unity and peace in our great party and for the party to continue to grow and succeed ” he said.

    He has assured the committee that APC members in the House are always ready for unity, peace and progress of the party and will continue to work in synergy with their people fo the overall development of the party and the state.

    Arc. Salihu Agyebola, the Chairman of the Committee said that the committee was on a facts finding mission as a result of the Local Government and Ward congresses of the party in order to strengthen the party in the state.

    ” We are here on facts finding over the local government and ward Congresses of our party, APC.

    ” There are issues, conflicts, misunderstanding or complaints by party members in some local government areas of the state over the congresses in the state.

    ” Most especially in Akwanga, Nassarawa Eggon and Doma Local Government Areas of the state.

    ” Please let continue to unite in the interest of our party, for the continue victory of the party in future elections and for the overall development of the state,” he said.

    He urged the Speaker and Members to continue to work in synergy with their stakeholders and other people at the grassroots for the overall development of the party.

    Nasarawa state House of Assembly Speaker Rt Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has said there is a great hope for Nigeria and the people of Nasarawa state to feel directly the dividends of Democracy, while also explaining the need to live in unity irrespective of tribal, religious affiliation.

    The Speaker who stated this in his good will message on Saturday, first of January, 2022 made available to journalist, said despite challenges, the year 2021 was remarkable even as he hope for a more rewarding breakthrough in the new year, 2022.

    “I want to sincerely thank all who supported me in the out gone year, we can do more in 2022, as more promises will be fulfilled.”He said.

    Speaker Balarabe, who is the Wali Opanda also expressed his gratitude to the Governor of Nasarawa state, Engr. Abdullahi Alhaji Sule and the entire people of the State for a successful completion of the year 2021 and ushering in the new year 2022 which despite challenges was able to achieve so many developmental strives looking forward in the new year 2022 to give to the people the best of governance.

    He also appreciated the President, Federal Republic of Nigerian, His Excellency Mohammadu Buhari GCFR and the entire Nigerian Citizenry, adding that despite the covid 19 situation, a lot of Nigerian youths were giving a soft landing via the covid 19 funds disbursed to Cushing the effects.

    “I congratulate Mr president, I felicitate with my Governor and all our leaders at different levels, be they Political, Traditional or Religious, as well as all others in different segments of our society.”

    “It is indeed a fruitful and successful year for us in the country despite doubting challenges of COVID-19,insecurity, economy and social living among others. At least, we have made remarkable steps forward with positive progress, no doubt we are not stagnant “. He added.

    “My goodwill also goes to all Speakers of the 36 State Houses of Assembly in the country and my amiable and distinguished colleagues, the Honourable members of Nasarawa State House of Assembly you all have been their for me, for the Governor and for the State, you are all wonderful.”

    Balarabe further appreciated the entire management and staff of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly and the media for the cooperation, unity, understanding and sense of maturity exhibited in the cause of their legislative functions.

    The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has said that the All Progressives Congress ( APC) will win the Oct. 6 local government election in the state with landslide victory.

    Balarabe Abdullahi stated this during flag off campaign of Toto Local Government Area Chairmanship and Councillorship candidates today in Toto.

    The speaker said that Toto LGA is the strong hold of APC in the state and will deliver the chairmanship and councillorship candidates of the party come Oct.6.

    “Today we have no any other party than APC, Toto Local Government Area will continue to remain the home of APC in Nasarawa State.

    ” Also those big wigs in PDP yesterday are now in APC and by God’s grace, APC will come out victorious at Oct. 6 local government election.

    ” His Excellency, I want to assure you that , we in Toto Local Government will not fail you and we will deliver APC come Oct.6 and beyond ,” he said.

    Balarabe-Abdullahi called on the people of the area to come out enmass and vote all APC candidates during the election.

    He has assured of his people’s resolved to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule beyond 2023.

    The speaker has appreciated Gov. Sule for his security efforts in ensuring peace in the area and called for its sustenance.

    Although the 2023 general election is still far ahead in the country, but the scenario in Nasarawa State this Saturday has signalled the political dimension in the state.

    In what looks like a political campaign of sort and a general acceptance of a leader, the people of Nasarawa State across the 13 Local Government Areas in the state from Karu, the boundary LG with FCT, citizens converged in various LG borders to give the state number one man a befitting welcome.

    The Speaker of the state assembly, Rt. Hon.Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, who received the Governor at welcome to Lafia alongside prominent sons and daughters of the state said the show of love and solidarity for the Governor demonstrated by the people of the state has clearly shown that his leadership is fruitful and generally accepted by the entire citizens.

    “You will recall that precisely two weeks ago the Governor was out of the country for a private trip abroad, we mist him and he is now back so we are here to give him a well deserved welcome.

    “He is the leader of the state, our father, he is the Governor, so we thanked Almighty Allah, who protect and see him safely throughout the trip”

    Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has assured that the House would give Dangote Sugar Refinery in the state all the necessary legislative backing and support to suceed.

    This, the speaker said, was to enhance the economic and security status of the state considering the benefit of the Refinery in the overall development of the state and the country at large.

    Balarabe Abdullahi gave the assurance when he led other Principal Officers of the House on an on-the- spot assessment to Dangote Sugar Refinery, Tunga, Awe Local Government Area of the State today Saturday.

    The speaker said that the visit was to see things for themselves and appreciated Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the President of Dangote Group for established the refinery in the state.

    “We appreciate Alhaji Aliko Dangote for this project in our state as this project is a pride to Tunga, Nasarawa State, Nigeria and indeed Africa as a whole.

    “The project will tackle unemployment thereby putting our unemployed youths and other people off the street.

    “As it will also improve on the standard of living of the people of the state and Nigeria at large.

    “Apart from the economic benefits, the project will also boost the security of the state as before now this place is a thick forest and hidden place where criminals will go out and perpetrate their criminal act, comes back and hide.

    “But now there is no hidden place for them here Again, ” he said.

    Balarabe Abdullahi commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for ensuring that the project is established in the state when he was the Managing Director of the Sugar refinery of Dangote Group.

    ” I also want to commend the host community, Tunga, Awe Local government for supporting the establishment of the refinery in their communities and I call for their continued support to enable the project succeed.

    The speaker assured of its continued support to the activities of the Dangote Group to succeed.

    “We will protect the project and ensure that all pending lands and boundary demarcation issues are addressed peacefully,

    “I also appreciate the corporate social responsibility projects of the company to the host community which cut across school and health projects, water and scholarship among others. He added.

    Responding, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Dan-Musa, the General Manager, Government and Strategic Relations, Dangote Industries Ltd who took his time to briefed the Speaker on the company’s journey so far in the state appreciated the speaker and his entourage for the visit.

    Abdullahi Damusa said that the visit would further boost the relationship between the House and Dangote refinery.

    The general manager expressed the determination of Dangote to continue to invest in Nigeria in order to tackle unemployment and uplift the standard of living of Nigerians.

    It would be reported that the speaker and his entourage inspected equipment, centre pivot machine, pump station among other facilities and sites.

    As Muslims marked the birthday of prophet Muhammad,Peace Be Upon Him, Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Alh Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has called for intensified prayers for the nation to overcome its emerging challanges.

    A statement by Press Secretary to the Speaker Jibrin Gwamna indicates that Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi felicitates with Muslims and enjoined them to straightening the bound of peace, unity and love for all which are the virtues of prophet Muhammad.

    The statement quotes the speaker as calling on traditional, community and religion leaders as well as youths and stakeholders to intensifies preaching and campaign for peace,unity and tolerance among people and the need for adherence to the laws of the land.

    The state Number Three Citizen who described peace as essential for societal and national growth and prosperity called on all Nigerians to embrace peace at all times to build an egalitarian society and prosperous nation.

    Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi prayed God that the birthday of the prophet will usher in new down for humanity in general.
