BREAKING: Abducted Bamali Polytechnic Students, Staff Gains Freedom
The six students and two staff members of Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic in Zaria Kaduna State, who were kidnapped by bandits have been released.
They were released on Thursday night at an undisclosed location in Kaduna.The Public Relations Officer of the Polytechnic, Abdullahi Shehu, who confirmed the development to Channels TV, said the kidnapped students and staff members regained their freedom after their parents and relatives negotiated with the bandits.
He, however, did not say specifically if any ransom was paid or not.

The school authorities will receive the students later in the day at a location where they were kept after their release, he added.
Bandits had attacked the polytechnic on June 11, 2021, kidnapping the victims from their hostels and staff quarters.
They also killed one student during the operation.

Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic Shut Indefinitely After Attack by Gunmen
The management of Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic in Zaria, Kaduna State, has shut down all academic activities indefinitely.
It also directs all the students to vacate the school with immediate effect
This follows yesterday’s attack on the institution by bandits who kidnapped eight students and two lecturers from their hostels and staff quarters.
One student was also shot to death during the attack.
In a statement by the acting Registrar of the Polytechnic Mahmoud Kwarbai on Friday, the management says the decision was taken due to the tension that the attack generated amongst the students.
The directive however excludes IJMB students whose external examination by the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria will commence on Tuesday, June 15.

BREAKING: One Shot Dead as Gunmen Invades Nuhu Bamali Poly, Abduct students, Lecturers

A student reportedly shot dead while some others sustained gunshot injuries following the alleged invasion of bandits at Nuhu Bamali polytechnic, Zaria in kaduna state.
Eye witness report also said that two academic staff, a wife and two children of the a staff were also kidnapped during the bandits invasion last night.
The source however stated that the wife and two children of a staff were released Friday morning.
it was also gathered that three unidentified students were among the kidnapped victims.
A statement obtained from kaduna journalists chat forum reads in parts; Two Academic Staff were kidnapped . Wife and two children of a staff were also kidnapped but were released this morning. Three unidentified students were among the kidnapped victims.
‘”Two students were shot by the kidnappers, one of them died this morning while the other is receiving medical attention’, it stated.
