    OYOSUBEB Boss, Adeniran Congratulates Makinde over PDP’s Primary Victory

    The Executive Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Nureni Adeniran has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde for clinching the People’s Democratic Party’s ticket to contest for a second term in the 2023 election.

    Makinde emerged the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP for the 2023 gubernatorial election after polling over 1040 votes.

    He defeated an erstwhile Deputy Governor, Hazeem Gbolarumi who polled two votes.

    Adeniran who said Nigerians never expected anything less, thanked God for granting Makinde victory.

    He said, “We thank Almighty Allah for granting our leader victory at the party primaries.”

    “I want to congratulate our leader and friend, Governor Seyi Makinde for emerging victorious in the PDP Primaries. You haven’t missed an opportunity to prove how much of a pleasant leader you are”, he added.

    Dr. Adeniran urged Mr. Hazeem Gbolarumi, whom he described as a party stalwart, to queue behind Makinde and work assiduously for the party’s victory in 2023.

    According to him, “Congratulations to our leader on his emergence as the flag bearer of our great party, the People’s Democratic Party. We are united under one Umbrella and we will work assiduously for our party’s victory in 2023.”

    Dr. Nureni Adeniran, who doubles as the Chairman of SUBEB Chairmen in the South-West, however appealed to members of the Party in the state who are still aggrieved to embrace genuine reconciliation ahead of the 2023 general election.

    Dr. Adeniran also extended the ruling Party’s hands of fellowship to members of the opposition party and their supporters, asking them to defect to PDP.

    According to him, “I also noticed that some members of the opposition party are complaining about APC primaries. I urge them to decamp to PDP.”

    OYOSUBEB Boss, Others Celebrate Outgoing Director Finance as He Bows Out of Service

    The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, over the weekend organised a 60th birthday and retirement ceremony in honor of the just outgoing Director, Finance and Accounts, Mr. Abideen Aderemi Agboluaje.

    Speaking during the event, the Executive Chairman, OYOSUBEB, Dr. Nureni Adeniran said the success of the event reflects the hard work, humility and interpersonal relationship exhibited by the retiring Director while in service.

    Adeniran described the retiring officer as an extrovert, a real professional and a dedicated officer, adding that the Director’s impact would be hardly forgotten in the Board.

    He said Mr. Agboluaje was a dedicated, humble, dutiful and responsible financial Administrator, who contributed immensely towards the development of Basic Education in the State, admonishing him not to relent in his service to mankind, even in retirement.

    Dr. Adeniran therefore called on civil servants to see retirement from active service as divine grace and be grateful to Almighty God that kept them alive to witness the day of retirement.

    Earlier, in his remark, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Mr. Olusanjo Adeniyi, expressed delight and congratulated Mr. Agboluaje for successful years of active services without blemish.

    He extolled the virtues of Agboluaje especially his contributions and support which were responsible for the success of Better Education Service Delivery for All program in the State.

    Responding, Mr. Agboluaje thanked the Board for the unprecedented send-forth ceremony, adding that he enjoyed his stay at the Board as its Director of finance.

    He added that the Board gave him the opportunity to contribute his quota to the development of basic education in the State adding that the leadership of the Board was fair to all, irrespective of cadre.

    The event was witnessed by the Accountant General of the State, Alh. K. G Bello, who described Agboluaje as a benefactor, who played a huge role in his life while in service.

    Others present were the Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, Oyo State, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, OYOSUBEB Full Time Board Member (South), Hon. Akeem Oladeji, former Accountant Generals of Oyo State, the Chief Imam, Oluyole Extension Community Central Mosque, Alh. Mudathir Bada, among others.
