    Greenville LNG, a leading domestic gas infrastructure development company in Nigeria, recently paid a courtesy visit to Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani. The delegation, led by the company’s Director of Inter-governmental Relations, Alhaji Zubairu Ibrahim Bayi, expressed gratitude for the state’s support and conducive business environment.

    During the visit, Bayi thanked Governor Sani and the people of Kaduna for their cooperation, highlighting the positive impact of the governor’s leadership on Greenville LNG’s operations and investments in the state. He praised the governor’s visionary governance, noting that it has significantly contributed to the state’s economic and industrial growth.

    Bayi also emphasized Greenville LNG’s commitment to creating job opportunities, mentioning that the company employed over 500 workers during the construction of its facilities in Kaduna, including over 250 local residents. He expressed optimism about further expanding operations and generating more employment with new projects like the Gradient Polymer and Bitumen plant.

    Governor Sani, in response, appreciated Greenville LNG’s investment in Kaduna State and reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to maintaining a business-friendly environment. He acknowledged the crucial link between effective leadership and successful investment promotion, pledging continued support for Greenville LNG and other investors in the state.

    The governor commended Greenville LNG’s contributions and urged the company to extend its operations across Kaduna to create more jobs. He assured the delegation of his commitment to providing all necessary support to sustain and attract businesses to the state.

    The meeting included key officials from the Kaduna State Government and representatives from Greenville LNG and its sister company, Gradient Bitumen.

    Kaduna State’s Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has officially initiated the training of 7,000 individuals to join the Kaduna Vigilance Service. This strategic move aims to enhance the collaborative efforts of various security agencies in addressing the pressing issues of kidnapping, armed robbery, and related crimes within the state.

    The governor revealed that these recruits, currently undergoing intensive training at the Police College in Kaduna, have been selected from all 23 local government areas across the state. Their training will equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to support existing security forces and effectively curtail criminal activities within the region.

    Governor Sani emphasized the critical need for this recruitment due to the shortfall of regular security personnel in the ongoing battle against security challenges plaguing the state. He explained that the Kaduna Vigilance Service would play a pivotal role in providing actionable intelligence and leveraging its familiarity with the local terrain to eliminate the hiding spots of bandits.

    In his words, Governor Sani stated, “The Kaduna Vigilance Service is a complementary security force, providing vital support to our existing agencies. Their deep understanding of the local environment will leave no room for bandits to evade justice.”

    He further elaborated on the significance of this initiative, saying, “Initiating this training program marks a significant stride in fulfilling our commitment to the people of Kaduna State. Our administration has consistently aimed to bolster the manpower and overall operational capabilities of the KADVS. Since its inception, KADVS has worked closely with security agencies to weaken criminal elements. However, the shortage of personnel has hindered our ability to effectively combat bandits and other criminal elements. To address this, our administration has taken the step to recruit 7,000 individuals into the Kaduna Vigilance Service (KADVS).”

    Governor Sani also highlighted the collaborative efforts involved in the recruitment and screening process, involving local government chairmen, traditional and religious leaders, grassroots stakeholders, and security agencies.

    In conclusion, the governor stressed the importance of this endeavor, emphasizing its potential to benefit humanity as a whole by enhancing food security and income generation through innovative agricultural technologies. This holistic approach aims to uplift the economy and positively impact people’s lives.

    Governor reports 10 Kaduna children succumb to diphtheria outbreak.

    The Kaduna State Ministry of Health has attributed the deaths of 10 children in various communities within Kafanchan, Jemaá Local Government Area, to a diphtheria outbreak.

    Governor Uba Sani took immediate action in response to the reported fatalities caused by this unfamiliar disease. He promptly instructed an emergency health team to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

    The governor emphasized that the confirmation of the diphtheria outbreak came after receiving multiple reports from residents in Takau Ward, Kafanchan A, and Kafanchan B wards, who exhibited concerning symptoms, including difficulty in breathing, high fever, cough, general body weakness, sore throat, and neck swelling.

    “In light of the tragic loss of lives in the affected communities, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State, swiftly directed the Kaduna State Ministry of Health to dispatch an emergency team to investigate these cases.”According to the statement, the Ministry’s preliminary report indicates that the diphtheria outbreak in Kafanchan began with its first recorded case at the start of July 2023.
    The governor praised the swift and efficient response of the health officials to the health emergency and urged them to maintain their diligence in containing and eventually eradicating the disease.

    The statement further highlighted the measures taken by the Ministry, including transferring affected cases to well-equipped hospitals for proper management, conducting active case searches, tracing contacts, and conducting extensive community sensitization in all affected areas and their vicinity.

    The statement further emphasized that residents have been advised to take proactive measures to prevent the spread of the disease and safeguard their communities.

    Residents were encouraged to adopt the following preventive measures:

    1. Wash their hands regularly with soap and water.
    2. Avoid close contact with individuals who are sick.
    3. Cover their mouths and noses when coughing or sneezing.
    4. Stay at home from work or school if they are feeling unwell.
    5. Engage in regular physical activity, such as walking, to boost immunity.
    6. Report any suspected cases of diphtheria in their surrounding communities.

    By adhering to these guidelines, the aim is to curb the transmission of the disease and protect the health and well-being of the community at large.

    Anti Senator Uba Sani youths protesters have continue to hit-up kaduna polity following the Monday protest, in his constituency, in kawo, which is second in the series in less than eight days. 

    A similar protest last week took place in the volatile area of Rigasa Community in kaduna suburb city centre with various placards and various inscriptions all over the Street, by those he allegedly used and dumped.

    Eye witness said the Monday grieved protesters’ groused, against Uba Sani, is that, the Senator representing Kaduna Central has gone oblivion since after his election.

    Other allegation against him is that Uba Sani has never stand and presented, on the floor of Senate Chamber, the varies of insecurity challenges ravaging the state on regular basis especially banditries, kidnappings, killings, abductions and attacks.

    An insider said “Since he was elected, they have never seen him again. He never stand at floor of Senate chamber to talk about the insecurity in Kaduna. 

    Banditry, kidnapping, killings are happening regularly. 

    “He never make any project at his constituency or provide any support for his constituents. 

    “All his offices across the Local governments he represents remain closed since after election. He never allow his constituents to visit his office in Abj, to enable them present their issues”, the protesters sources said.

    They gave instances that

    Kaduna state government has demolished markets and business places without compensating those who own shops legally.

    Sources however told our correspondent that the speaker of Kaduna state house of assembly Rt Hon. Zailani is behind the people protesting against Uba Sani because of their political differences.

    Speaker’s supporters have however drawn attentions to viral video in social media where the state assembly speaker other members critically criticized Senator Uba Sani for lying and making some frivolous allegations which in turn instigated attacks on him by his house leader and some members.

    “They alleged speaker being involved in the fight against the senator was as a result of a video on a social media where the speaker with other members were criticising the senator for his lies and ineffectiveness in the Senate”, the source stated.

    Efforts to reach out to the accused Senator Uba Sani proved abortive due inability to reach him on phone all through.
