    Senator Wamakko Donates Transformer To Sokoto North Community

    To better up the lives of the people of his constituency in Sokoto North Senatorial District of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has donated another 300 KVA electricity transformer to the people of Mabera area.

    The beneficiaries of this valuable gesture are residents of Sheikh Musa Ayuba Lukuwa’s Jumu’at Mosque, Sokoto South Local Government Area of the State.

    Sen. Wamakko, who was represented at the presentation of the power provider by Alhaji Ahmed Baba Altine explained the efforts of Senator Wamakko as part of his responsibility to his constituents.

    He said that the bible gesture was also part of the sustained efforts by Sen. Wamakko to ensure that his constituents are enjoying the dividends of democracy at all times.

    Baba Altine said the donation followed the lodging of a complaint by the community to the Senator.

    He said Sen. Wamakko in his usual magnanimity directed that a 300kva Transformer be issued to them to ease their hardship.

    Baba Altine added that the residents were faced with the acute dearth of electricity supply for some times.

    He charged them to ensure the good utilization of the facility, even as he charged them to safeguard it for optimal usage.

    Some beneficiaries of the facility, Sani Marshall and Zayyanu Yahaya described the gesture by the Senator as timely, decrying that they had stayed in darkness for so long due to the lack of electricity.

    They thanked him for his kind gesture testifying that, it was one out of the flurry of efforts by the APC Senator towards ensuring the provision of the direly needed social amenities to improve the lives of people in the State even after he left office as Governor.

    They vowed to use the facility provided them by Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko for the benefit of the Mabera Masallacin Lukuwa’s community.

    The statement signed by Special Adviser on Media to the Senator,Bashar Abubakar also said the recent transformer donated was among the many doled out to various communities in Sokoto state by Sen. Wamakko.

    Senator Wamakko Symphatises With People Of Tangaza Over Banditry Attack

    Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has condoled the bereaved families and the people of Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State over the recent banditry attack which led to the loss of many lives and caused several injuries to others.

    The release by Senator’s spokesman,Bashar Abubakar also said Wamakko, who represents Sokoto Noth Senatorial District, described the attack as unfortunate and ungodly, urging that the parpetratos must be brought to book to face the wrath of the law.

    The Senator, while condoling the people of the area in a message sent to the press prayed Allah the Almighty to forgive the deceased and reward them with Jannatul Firdausi as their final abode.

    He also prayed for the quick recovery of those who sustained various degrees of injuries and currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

    It could be recalled that bandits ravaged some villages in Tangaza Local Government Area of the State on Saturday night and in the early hours of Sunday, where several innocent lives were reportedly lost.

    On the third of May, the riders on board 20 motorcycles suspected to be bandits killed 8people in Raka, 7 in Bilingawa, 6 in Jaba, 4 in Dabagi,3 in Raka Dutse and 2 in Tsalewa Villages.

    They also set ablze two vehicles while one Bajaj motorcycle strongly believe to be that of the bandits is recovered at the scene.

    President Buhari Congratulates Wamakko Over Victory

    President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the APC leader in Sokoto State, Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Sarkin Yamman Sokoto over the successful last Saturday’s poll in the State, which brought Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto as the elected Governor under the banner of APC.

    Statement by Bashar Abubakar MC said Buhari called  Wamakko on his telephone line, described the election that gave victory to Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto of APC as a huge success, saying, ”that was what the people of Sokoto State truly want.”

     Buhari described the just-concluded Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections as  historic, adding, “hence the need for the newly-elected officials to ensure the fulfilment of their campaign promises to the electorate.”

    Buhari further described the election of Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto of APC as a will of Allah, urging  him to put in his very best to provide developmental projects for the progress of the state and Nigeria as a whole.

    Responding to the call, the elated former Governor of Sokoto State lauded Buhari for the epochal call.

    Wamakko also extolled Buhari for always having the people of Sokoto State at heart and assured him of a good counselling to the Governor-elect, Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto for him to roundly  succeed.

    Wamakko described  Buhari as a true democrat who stood firmly and patriotically for the sustenance of Nigeria’s democracy.

    He appreciated  Buhari for his committed leadership and invaluable advice towards the development of Nigeria as the Nigerian President.

    The godfather of the All Progressive Congress in Sokoto state,Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has called on all party supporters,loyalists and wellwishers to ensure peaceful conduct of victory rallies in a matured and peaceful manner.

    Wamakko made the call shortly after the announcement of a landslide victory of the All  Progressives Congress, APC in Sokoto state, APC leader in the State.

    Senator Wamakko while thanking all the stakeholders of the party, described APC as a peace loving party in the country and State as a whole, therefore, there is the need to sustain the tempo.

    Wamakko also expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah for granting APC a hard fought  victory.

    The former Governor of Sokoto state also dedicated the victory to the peace loving people of the state who stood with the party through thick and thin.

    Wamakko assured the  people of the state that they will never regret reposing tremendous confidence and trust in the APC at all levels.

    He further vowed that the APC government under Ahmed Aliyu will be democratic, real government of the people, for the people and by the people.

    Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko of Sokoto has called on the people of the state to continue to use the old and new Naira notes as there is no law that currently stops their usage.

    Senator Wamakko was speaking on Tuesday at his Gawon Nama residence shortly after returning back from Abuja for an official engagement.

    Senator Wamakko further wondered why the people would suffer themselves for nothing urging that, people should continue to receive and use the old Naira notes pending the final decision by the authority concerned.

    He further said: “Who can give out what he does not have?”

    Bashar Abubakar MC in a statement said”These new Naira notes are not in circulation and not available, so why should one deny himself an opportunity for using the old ones? Senator Wamakko asked.

    He thanked the people of the state for their sustained invaluable support and cooperation to APC at all levels.

    A special prayer was offered for the continued assistance and success of APC leadership in the State.

    Senator Wamakko while adressing suppoters at Gada and Illela LGAs revealed that the party has presently over 4m eligible voters in the state patiently waiting for election day to elect APC candidates from President to councillors.

    Shedding tears of joy over great number of suppoerters in the areas that attended the campaign ,Wamakko said he has no words enough to thank them but assuring them of complementing their support to the party and Alu in particular.

    Governorship candidate,Ahmad Aliyu promised that all outstanding projects would be completed in addition to what they are going to execute in the zone for their progress and development especially the growing youths.

    Achida said what PDP claimed to have done in the zone was executed through collaborative efforts by indigenes of the areas.

    He further averred that if APC is voted into piwer they would experiwnce what they have lost in the last eifht years of PDP leadership acknowledging the teeming supoort from electorates.

    He also acknowledged the great number of those who defected to APC from other parties more specifically,PDP.

    Director General Campaign Council Committee,Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi remarked that APC is a party that fulfill >romises when made and urged them not to relent in voting APC that has great agenda for rural dwellers.

    The northwest zonal Secretary of the party,Muhammad Bello challenged them to source for more supporters to the party before February 25th when physical support be made.

    Zonal Women leader,Zonal Coordinator and the defectees spokesman all assured APC leadership of theirs and their supporters votes come election day.

    Former Ambassador,Sahabi Isah Gada who complented what Wamakko did for the areas during his leadership deserve complement which he said is through voting APC at all levels.

    “Doing so will generate more development projects in the zone”,averred the Ambassador.

    Senator Wamakko made the plea at  Gwadabawa while addresing party suppprters during the APC gubernatorial campaign.

    Senator Wamakko said Nigeria as a nation is blessed with mineral resources spread across the country and need exploration adding that youths should not wait for governments to solve their problems.

    “You are blessed with health,power,energy to assist the old ones who cannot immensely contribute to the development unless with ideas to advise,assist them”.

    He further said considering the mass population the state has,development is imminent and APC would provide materials to make feat easier.

    He asserted that as PDP failed the masses in the state,APC is coming in to wipe their tears.

    He then demanded the extension of at least one year or a half of the year in the plan Naira swap from old to new notes. 

    The senator said 10 days extension is still not enough for Nigerians to be able to exercise their rights. 

    Meanwhile,the APC Gubernatorial candidate Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, While unveiling his 8 points Agenda, challenged his rival from PDP Sa’idu Umar to tell the people of the state on his contributions when he was SSG and a Commissioner in the State Executive council. 

    Ahmad Aliyu Said Securit,  econom,  educatio,  Health water supply among others will be his cardinal objectives if given the mandate as Governor of the state.

    Director General of the state campaign Council Alh Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi Katukan sokoto, said APC has come to stay in sokoto, expressed confident that, the party will become victorious during the forthcoming polls.

    Other speakers at the occasion included, APC chairman in the State Hon Isah Sadiq Acida, APC local government Coordinator Alh Muhammadu Bello Sifawa among others.

    The occasion featured the presentation of APC candidates in the State by the leader of the party, senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.

    APC leader in Sokoto state and Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda has called on all APC supporters who are eligible to vote, to ensure they collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards and secure them accordingly. 

    Senator Wamakko was speaking today at his Gawon Nama Residence shortly after returning from Abuja for official engagement. 

    Senator Wamakko further said, currently, INEC has engaged in distributing the card for those who registered during the previous registration exercise across the country.

    He added that, “You can can vote the APC Candidates if you have PVCs otherwise, your support to the party is doubtful”.

    The APC spokesman, Bashar Abubakar MC said the APC leader challenged the party supporters in the State to mobilize more people to go out and ensure they get their PVCs at hand.

    The National Executives of the Asiwaju Project Beyond 2023 paid a courtesy visit to Distinguished Sen. Aliyu Wammako, former Governor of Sokoto State and one of the leading pillars of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

    The statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Senator Wamakko, Bashar Abubakar MC further said the Asiwaju Project Beyond 2023 Team was led by the Director General of the Project, Barr. Realwan Okpanachi and the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Mr. Abiodun Yinusa. Other National Executives present during the visit include Comrade Ahmed Shomoye, National Secretary, Hajia Hafsat M.B. Usman, Director of Women Affairs, Hajia Halima Mohammed -Bababubu, North Centra Mobilization Director, Mr. Adamson Ayinde, Director of Strategic Communication, Com. Seyi Olubanjo, Director of Research and Documentation, Mr. Adekunle Badru-, Director of Welfare Services and the Sokoto State Coordinator of the Project, Engr. Abubakar Chika

    While commending the leaders of Asiwaju Project Beyond 2023 for their laudable efforts towards the actualization of the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Come 2023, Sen. Wamakko encouraged the group to be more committed, inclusive and dynamic in their campaigns and to ensure they connect with other support groups working for the same purpose.

    In his short briefing, the DG of the Project, Barr. Okpanachi intimated distinguished Senator Wamakko about some of the programmes that the Project had undertook before now, which include the recent Inter-faith Special Prayer programme which held on Wednesday, 28th September, 2022 as well as the Capacity Building programme for 600 Support Groups which took place on Saturday, 1st October, 2022 at the Project’s Digital Secretariat, situated at 9, Osun Crescent, Maitama, Abuja.

    He also made mentioned the establishment of a Command/Control Room at the Project’s Digital Secretariat with a view to engendering an effective Call System to reach to voters across the country. He said the Control room is equiped with 180,000 phone numbers and the broad register of voters before the 2022 Voters’ registration exercise.

    In his remarks, Sen. Wamako while welcoming the organization, promised to work with other APC stakeholders in the Northwestern part of the country to deliver massive votes for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Distinguished Sen. Kashim Shettima come February 2023.

    Senator Wamakko Donates 500KVA Transformer Sokoto South LGA

    The Chairman Senate Committee on Defense, Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District has issued out 500KVA Electric transformer to the community of Mabera area of Gagi “C” Ward of Sokoto South local government.

    This followed the break down of the one they were using which has been repaired but can’t be restored to work.

    The leader of the delegation and Magajin Mabera Alh. Umar Bello said, for almost three months the people of Mabera area have been in darkness despite the fact that they have been forwarding their request to the State government for intervention but all in vain.

    Presenting the transformer, the Director of Administration to the office of the Senator, Alh. Almustapha Abubakar Alkali said, after an assessment visit to the location, they decided to issue the 500KVA to the community considering the number of people situated at the area and urged them to ensure maximum protection of the transformer to avoid vandalization.

    The Director, challenged the state government to bring out 100 number of transformers said to have been donated by a private company to the people of the state.

    Bashar Abubakar said this is the fifth time the Senator is donating the transformers to the communities in need.
