Tambuwal Releases Over N369m For Tuition And Registration

The Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has approved the release of the sum of N369.2m for the payment of tuition and registration fees to Sokoto state Students studying in various institutions of higher learning in the Republic of Sudan and Istikama University , Sumaila Kano State for 2022/2023 academic session .

This is contained in a statement personally signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Sokoto State Scholarship Board, Alhaji Bello Isah and made available to pressmen in Sokoto.

According to the statement , the breakdown of the amount released shows that , the sum of N284m were for the payment of tuition fees for the state students in the Republic of Sudan while N85.2m were spent for the transportation and payment of tuition fees of 100 sponsored state Students to Istiqama University, Sumaila, kano State adding that , the students have already conveyed to the University and are currently undergoing their studies.

Alh Bello Isah said, in a related development the state Governor have released yet another woofing sum of N75.5m for the payment of Sokoto State indigenes pursuing matriculation programm at Usmanu Danfodiyo Unversity sokoto for 2022/2023 academic session.

The permanent Secretary, therefore , appealed to the Sokoto State sponsored students to continue to appreciate the state government huge investment on them by redoubling efforts on their studies and come back to the state after the studies to contribute for the development of the state.
