Tantita Security Services Limited has distributed Christmas gifts to its host communities in Bayelsa State as part of its annual corporate social responsibility initiative, reinforcing community relations and promoting peace within its operational areas.The distribution exercise was carried out by the Bayelsa State Office of Tantita Security Services at the company’s state headquarters along the Imgbi Express, Yenagoa. The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with local stakeholders in support of security operations across the Niger Delta.
Speaking at the event, the Bayelsa State Coordinator of Tantita Security Services, Mr. Great Joshua Maciver, who was represented by Mr. Joseph Maciver, said the gesture was aimed at appreciating host communities for their sustained cooperation and support.According to him, the company recognizes the importance of community partnership in maintaining peace and ensuring the success of its mandate to protect critical oil and gas infrastructure in the region.
Each host community received food items, including bags of rice, a cow, and cash donations. The items were formally handed over to community chiefs, women leaders, and youth presidents representing the various host communities.The beneficiaries described the gesture as a show of goodwill and appreciation, noting that it would help ease the financial burden on families during the festive season.Also speaking at the event, Tantita’s Coordinator for Ogbia Local Government Area, Hon. Ebiango Egain, commended the company’s management for prioritising peace and maintaining strong relationships with host communities.
He stated that improved security operations by Tantita Security Services have significantly enhanced safety on rivers and waterways in Bayelsa State, leading to increased movement and economic activities in riverine communities.Hon. Egain added that the company’s engagement with communities has contributed to reduced tension and better cooperation between security personnel and residents.Mr. Joseph Maciver, while delivering his remarks, expressed appreciation to the leadership of Tantita Security Services for their continued commitment to community development and regional stability.
He specifically acknowledged the Chairman of the company, High Chief Government Oweizidei Ekpemupolo (Tompolo); the Vice Chairman, Engr. Matthew Tonlagha; the Managing Director, High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Pondi; and the General Manager, Operations, High Chief Godfrey Tari Pondi.According to him, the leadership’s dedication has strengthened the fight against crude oil theft and vandalism while fostering peace and security across the Niger Delta.Community representatives who spoke at the event described the Christmas gifts as timely and impactful. They pledged their continued support and collaboration with Tantita Security Services to sustain peace, unity, and development in Bayelsa State.
