Ahead of Saturday’s State House of Assembly elections in Osun State, political clash is imminent at Obokun state Constituency if the brewing tension in the area between the candidate of the APC and the PDP is not immediately addressed
Reports reaching Daybreak has it that the All Progressive Congress, APC House of Assembly’s Candidate, in the area, Hon Bosun Oyintiloye has allegedly ordered the arrest of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP House of Assembly’s Candidate, Architect Adewumi Adeyemi. The arrest was effected by police on Thursday’s evening.
As at Friday morning, Architect Adewumi Adeyemi was still in police custody, and no reason has at yet been advanced by the police for the arrest less than 24 hours to the state house of assembly election for which he is a contestant.
Miffed by the development his supporters have vowed that elections would not hold in the area if their candidate was not immediately released from police detention.
