By   Milcah   Tanimu

Timileyin Ajayi has been arrested in Abuja on suspicion of murdering his girlfriend, Salome Adaidu. The shocking incident took place on January 12, 2025, in the Orozo area of Abuja.

Ajayi allegedly killed Adaidu and beheaded her, with the severed head found in a nylon bag. This discovery occurred near a church during a service, which raised alarm and caused widespread fear in the area.

Following the crime, Ajayi was immediately apprehended. The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Adaidu’s death. The arrest has garnered significant attention, particularly given Ajayi’s prominent role as a gospel singer.

The arrest has left the local community in disbelief. Many are reacting with shock, especially since Ajayi was well-known for his music and positive image. Social media has been abuzz with discussions, as people continue to express their astonishment over the brutal crime.

This incident has prompted renewed focus on domestic violence and women’s safety. Advocacy groups are now calling for stronger measures to protect women and prevent such tragedies from happening in the future. The case has highlighted the urgent need for societal change and awareness in tackling domestic violence.

Authorities remain committed to the investigation, and Ajayi is expected to face legal proceedings in the coming weeks. The situation continues to unfold, with further updates likely to emerge as the investigation progresses.
