The President emphasized the government’s commitment to tackling security challenges in Nigeria, particularly in the Sahel region.

The lecture, titled “Insecurity in the Sahel (2008-2024): Dissecting Nigeria’s Challenges – Genesis, Impacts and Options,” aimed to address the ongoing insecurity in Nigeria. The management of NAN organized this event to tackle pressing issues. Experts, policymakers, and security officials gathered to discuss potential solutions.

Tinubu’s call for action arises amid rising insecurity in Nigeria. It has severely affected the lives of many citizens. He stated that the government understands these challenges. It is committed to providing necessary resources to the military and security forces. “Our resolve is strong; we will not back down in the fight against terrorism,” he declared. He also urged citizens to support the government’s efforts by sharing information about terrorist activities in their communities.
