Tobi Makinde Extols Funke Akindele Amid Box Office Success

Nollywood actor and film director, Tobi Makinde, has showered accolades on Funke Akindele, celebrating her groundbreaking achievement at the box office. Funke Akindele’s film, “Omo Ghetto The Saga,” became the first Nollywood movie to gross over a billion naira in a short period.

With a staggering one billion, sixty million, seven hundred and eleven thousand, four hundred and ninety-one in earnings, Funke Akindele secured her place in Nollywood history. Her movies, including “A Tr!be Called Judah,” “Battle On Buka Street,” and “Omo Ghetto The Saga,” currently dominate the Wikipedia Nollywood grossing table.

Expressing his admiration, Tobi Makinde, one of the directors of the record-breaking movie, took to Instagram to praise Funke Akindele. He referred to her as an Amazon and emphasized that she has etched her name on a rock, an accomplishment that can never be erased.

Tobi Makinde highlighted Funke Akindele’s journey as a testament to achieving excellence by putting God first and maintaining determination. He congratulated the acclaimed actress, stating that reaching one billion is a remarkable feat.
