Tragic incident at Ibadan Poly: Female student brutally killed, eyes mutilated.

Yesterday, a devastating incident unfolded at Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa. The lifeless body of a second-year Mass Communication student in the National Diploma program was discovered in her room, bearing harrowing injuries from machete cuts, and her eyes brutally plucked out.Tragically, the victim of this horrifying incident was identified as Dasola, a student who was in the midst of writing her first-semester examinations at the time. The details surrounding her brutal murder remain unknown at this time, as investigations continue.Vanguard gathered that late Dasola’s friend, her coursemate, who did not see her around to sit for the examination on Thursday, went to her house, around the Ile Idibo area and found her door locked from outside suggesting that no one was inside the room.Tragically, some of Dasola’s neighbors, who happened to be her classmates, began to notice a strong and unpleasant odor emanating from her room. Concerned for her well-being, they decided to investigate further. To their shock and horror, upon peering through her window, they discovered her lifeless body lying inside.

The neighbors immediately raised an alarm, drawing the attention of those nearby. The school’s management was promptly notified, and in a show of respect for the deceased, they suspended the ongoing examinations for a day.

Authorities from the Eruwa Police Division were alerted to the situation and took charge of the investigation. The police arranged for the removal of Dasola’s body from the room, transferring it to the General Hospital in Eruwa. Their primary objective now is to uncover the identity of the perpetrators responsible for this heinous crime.
