Media professional and adviser to Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Uchenna Awom, has announced the passing of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Comfort Akunna Ogbonnaya Uhuru, who died at the age of 86.
According to family arrangements, the late Mrs. Uhuru will be laid to rest on March 27, 2026, in her hometown of Umuanyi-Elu, Umuenyeure community, Alayi, in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.A service of songs in her honour is scheduled to hold on March 20, 2026, at Mshel Contemporary City Estate, Lugbe, Abuja.
Awom described his late mother-in-law as a woman of strong character who left behind lasting legacies for her family and community. Family members said friends, relatives and well-wishers are expected to attend the funeral activities to celebrate her life and contributions.
