UDUS Students Commends Sokoto Governor For Being Students Friendly

The Chairman Usman Danfodio University Sokoto Students Association, Usman Abdullahi made the commendation while addressing newsmen at the premises of Sokoto state Scholarship Board on the payment of three years school fees saying governor Ahmad Aliyu is a leader and not a ruler.

He said the sympathetic governor consider the current economic situation in the country, the reason why he owed it a duty to pay three years school fees not paid by the immediate past administration.

He further averred that the world has witnessed Ahmad Aliyu’s commitments of making the lives of Sokoto state students colorful and comfortable hitherto neglected by past administration by deliberately refusing to show concern to the Sokoto state students.

He similarly stated that the past administration deliberately failed to pay three sessions fees which led to students unrest and discomfort in their studies and invoked the management of UDUS to boldly take a decision of disallowing Sokoto

“Despite the fact huge amount of money have consistently been deducted from the salaries of civil servants across the state in the name of education,yet nothing to show or named from the deductions.

“It is against this backdrop we, the entire Sokoto state students of Usman Danfodio University commend the governor for restoring back hope on us”, averred the Chairman.
