Uncertainty over Kaduna KASTELEA Marshall killing, days after

By Gabriel Udeh, kaduna

Six days after, the curious questions in the minds of inquisitive Nigerians about who could have been responsible for the Killing of Solomon Christopher, and why his corpse was abandoned on the road by his colleagues, are yet to be answered.

Similarly, the demand to know the circumstances surrounding the tragic dead of the late Christopher who was in company of his colleagues staff of Kaduna State Transport and Environmental Law Enforcement Agency (KASTELEA), is still uncertain.

According to his colleagues on duty, late Mr Christopher was allegedly knockdown and died instantly by a truck while on duty around 7:30am at Maraban rido bridge, kachia road on a Friday 6th February 2021, in their presence.

Police investigation into the circumstances leading to the dead of Marshall Christopherby which commenced immediately after the incident has however not been made public till the time of filing this report.

Contacted on Thursday, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Marshall KASTELEA, Major Garba Yahya Rimi (rtd), who promised to get back to our Correspondent after the investigation declined comment.

“Please let us wait for police report first and medical report too, there was no one around apart from the marshall when the incident happened Please”, the CEO stated.
The CEO however referred our correspondent to kaduna state Police Command spokesman, Muhammad jalige, who also could not responded till the time of filling this report, when also contacted.

Earlier, the deceased colleagues on duty post with him alleged that Christopher was knockdown by a truck driver on reversed, and his head smashed, but the allegation was outrightly dismissed by eye witnesses, frends and families.

Investigation revealed that Christopher’s corpse was abandoned on the road by colleagues who left with KASTELEA official vehicle after the incident had accused, until the time FRSC came and took it to St. Gerard Catholic hospital, even as Police investigation in Sabon Tasha division with KASTELEA officer allegedly proved tough as the two hardly agreed, a source also revealed.

Family and friends sources also confirmed that Christopher, a graduate of Unijos, and only son of the mother, had, few weeks ago, hinted of conspiracy against him in his office because of a recent promotion in which favoured only him, and was putting it in prayers.

An office sources who spoke in confidence said that Christopher had been the only staff compiling all official reports and communicated same to the appropriate authorities.

While two were allegedly arrested and been in security custody in connection with the incident, Christopher was allegedly proposing to a lady for marriage this year, said a family friend, Moses Bisalia.
