UPDATED: Gunmen Place N70m Ransom on Kidnapped Family Members of Zamfara Don

A seventy million naira ransom has been made by the gunmen who abducted five relatives of Mr Abdurrahman Adamu, the ASUU Chairman for the Federal University of Gusau (FUGUS).
Channels Television had earlier reported that the five relatives of Mr Adamu were adopted alongside a neighbour in the early hours of Wednesday.

The gunmen attacked the ASUU Chairman’s residence in Damba Quarters, a Community in the outskirts of Gusau, the state capital, carting away valuables.
A family source, who pleaded to speak anonymously told our reporter that the kidnappers called and are demanding a N70 million ransom before the family members can regain their freedom
He is calling for more prayers to secure the safe return of the abductees.

As of the time filing this report, the police were yet to give a full brief about the situation, however, police spokesman, Muhammed Shehu, promised that he will give deeper insight as investigations progress.
