Vera Anyim: Dunamis ‘celebrity’ testifier apologises for seeking accommodation help

Vera Anyim, known for her recent testimony at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja, has publicly apologized after facing criticism for seeking accommodation assistance from Nigerians.

Following a viral video where she appealed for help to secure a new place to stay, Anyim faced backlash from the public.

In her apology posted on Facebook, she explained feeling unsafe and fearing kidnapping due to misconceptions about receiving money from Port Harcourt. She expressed regret for not being prepared for the sudden attention.

Previously, the church’s Senior Pastor, Paul Enenche, interrupted Anyim’s testimony, labeling it false, sparking widespread demand for an apology from the pastor.

After public outcry, the church apologized to Anyim and offered her a sponsored vacation at a resort in Port Harcourt. However, upon her return, she expressed concerns about her safety, citing the openness of her current residence and the attention drawn to her as a “celebrity.”

Anyim appealed to Nigerians for assistance in securing accommodation, citing the risks associated with her current living situation.

Her plea comes amidst ongoing discussions about her testimony and the aftermath of her newfound fame, highlighting the complexities of navigating sudden public attention and personal safety concerns.
