Controversial social media activist, Verydarkman, has publicly criticized gospel singer Mercy Chinwo following her recent decision to follow him on Instagram.
The outspoken influencer, known for his fiery commentaries, accused the singer of being manipulative, referencing their past conflict involving her legal battle with her former manager at Eezee Concept.
Recall that the duo had previously clashed after Verydarkman waded into Mercy Chinwo’s legal case. Following the controversy, the former manager later apologized and retracted his statements. Not long after, Mercy Chinwo followed Verydarkman on Instagram—an act he interpreted as disingenuous.
Reacting in a video, Verydarkman rejected the gesture, accusing the gospel artist of attempting to patronize him and refusing to be associated with what he called “evil disguised as gospel.”
“Mercy Chinwo, you can’t follow me. I’ll definitely block you. I don’t associate myself with evil—especially the kind hiding under the cover of gospel artistry. Remove yourself from my followers, or I’ll block you,” he said.
He insisted that she had used her influence to silence her former manager and that her current gesture was nothing more than a publicity stunt.

“Are you even sure it was Mercy Chinwo who followed you? After all the insults and attempts to smear her name, why would someone like that want to follow you?”
While Mercy Chinwo has yet to respond publicly, the drama continues to stir conversation across social media platforms.
