Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, has commended the Wash Tulsi Foundation for its efforts in positively impacting 1,000 households at the Amanawa Leprosy Settlement Centre in Kalgo Local Government Area.
Speaking at the distribution of food items to the beneficiaries on Thursday, Governor Idris described the gesture as a source of relief for the community.
The foundation distributed 50kg of rice, 10kg of maize, 10kg of millet, and 10kg of sorghum to each of the 1,000 households.
Governor Idris in his temarks highlighted the foundation’s long-standing commitment to the state, noting its 20-year history of providing eye care services and expanding its support to include water and food provision. He assured the foundation that the Kebbi State Government and its people would never forget their contributions.
The Secretary to Kebbi State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, echoed the governor’s sentiments, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to improving the livelihood of its people. The Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Alhaji Muhammad Yakubu-Rilisco, expressed satisfaction with the foundation’s activities, revealing that they would be distributing food to 1,000 households across six local government areas in the state.
Dr Shravan Kumar-Kasam, the Chief Executive Officer of Wash Tulsi Foundation, praised Governor Idris for transforming the state and reiterated the foundation’s commitment to supporting the community, having been involved for the past 20 years.
