Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has spoken candidly about mistakes he has made in both his personal life and career, admitting that some of his past decisions still weigh heavily on him.
The veteran singer made the revelation while appearing as a guest on the Mic On podcast, where he reflected on regrets, emotional struggles, and lessons learned over the years.
The father of six also addressed a widely reported incident in London involving an argument with his wife, Natasha Osawaru, which led to his arrest in October 2025. According to 2Baba, the confrontation was fueled by anger and escalated beyond control.
“I was angry that day. It was an unfortunate incident,” he said, taking responsibility for his actions.
2Baba explained that managing personal pressure has not always been easy, noting that emotions sometimes influence decisions in ways people later regret. He admitted that with hindsight, there are many moments he wishes he had handled differently.
“There are so many things I wish I could rewind and do better,” he said. “As a human being, there are times when you feel overwhelmed and don’t make the best decisions. My thick skin is weaker now.”
The singer’s remarks offered a rare glimpse into the challenges behind his public image, highlighting growth, accountability, and the lessons that come with experience.
