Wike says A2- Pai – Gomani community roads will boost Agric

The FCT Minister, Barr. Nysome Wike, has said that the construction of the 15 kilometer A2 – Pai – Gomani roads will boost agricultural activities.

Wike stated this on Saturday after an inspection of the ongoing 15 kilometer A2 Pai and the 15.4 kilometer Pai to Gomani roads in Kwali Area Council.
He said, ” I’m happy, and the communities are happy too, you can see how they came out to celebrate.” “What is important here is assuming we did not award this A2 to Pai and then we started the job from Pai to Gomani you would have seen danger but thank God that we took that decision and it has paid off.”
The minister said that he was happy with the quality of work on ground also commended the locals, youths, traditional ruler and the Kwali Area Council Chairman for their support and cooperation to ensure the progress of the work.
He said,”l am very impressed, this is an agrarian community . You can imagine those who have their farms here, how happy they would. So l am very happy and I thank the chairman of kwali area council for the support he has been given to the contractors, the traditional rulers and the youths. That is what it is supposed to be to own up the project because it is for their interest honestly.”
The minister further commended the contractor, Zerberced company for exhibiting capacity to handle the project which will be completed on time .

Speaking on the Pai to Gomani, the minister noted that the contractors have done about earthworks of about 12km, which includes the bridge.
Wike expressed happiness that the locals owned the road project and supported the contractors to carry out the job.

Daybreak reports that the FCT minister had flagged off the construction of the roads was flagged off on October 2024.
