The FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesome Wike has said that it has never happened in history that an administration would implement over 95% of its budget on projects in Abuja before completion is history because it has never happened before.
Wike stated this on Monday after he went on monitoring to three project sites in Abuja.
The FCT Minister stated that the administration has made 95% of funds available to contractors handling the various projects by making funds available to ensure there are no delays on work delivery.
Wike said, “The contractors who are handling these various jobs have lived up to expectations, and we are also doing our part by making sure payments are also made so that there will not be delays from either of the sides.”
Wike further expressed happiness at the quality of work at the International Conference Centre, ICC, and the various sites.
“Iam so happy with the job at International Conference Centre ICC.”
“Those of you who knew how it was can see what it is today will be impressed that yes, that conference centre is coming back to what it is supposed to be”, he noted.
According to him, the projects will be commissioned by Mr. President to mark his second year in office.
