Wike To Deliver OAU Distinguished Personality Lecture

The FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike, on Thursday June 5, 2025 will deliver the Distinguished Personality Lecture with the theme,“Nigeria of Our Dreams”,at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife. on Thursday, June 5, 2025.

This was contained in a statement signed by Mr Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Public Communications and Social Media.

The statement read, “This lecture is an esteemed platform through which the University engages accomplished leaders and eminent personalities whose contributions to public service and national development are widely acknowledged and deeply
valued”.

“In this regard, the Council and Management of our University unanimously resolved to invite Your Excellency in recognition of your exemplary leadership in public administration, governance, infrastructural development, and steadfast commitment to the rule of law.”

“You are welcome to speak on the theme ‘Nigeria of Our Dreams’ or any topic you consider appropriate”. “We are confident that your insights will not only enrich our academic community but also inspire renewed purpose in our shared pursuit of excellence in university governance and national development.”

According to the statement, the OAU Distinguished Personality Lecture Series is a significant platform to foster intellectual discourse and celebrating individuals whose leadership has made a lasting impact on the Nigerian nation.”
