Hollywood actor and musician Will Smith has been sued over allegations of sexual harassment, with the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles shortly before the New Year.
According to Fox News, the suit was brought by Brian King Joseph, a professional violinist and former America’s Got Talent finalist. Joseph alleges that Smith deliberately groomed him during the actor’s 2025 music tour.
Court documents state that Joseph’s professional relationship with Smith began after a performance in December 2024 and later continued during Smith’s Based on a True Story: 2025 Tour. He claimed the relationship gradually became personal, alleging that Smith told him they shared a “special connection.”
Joseph further alleged that while on tour in Las Vegas, he noticed signs that someone had entered his hotel room without his consent. He claimed to have found a handwritten note addressed to him, along with personal and medical-related items belonging to another individual. The incident reportedly left him distressed and fearful, prompting him to report the matter to hotel security and authorities.
The violinist said that rather than receiving support, he was later accused of fabricating the incident and was subsequently dismissed from the tour. He also claimed that another violinist was quickly hired as his replacement.
In the lawsuit, Joseph accused Smith of grooming, causing emotional distress, loss of income, and damage to his reputation. He is seeking damages for the alleged impact on his mental health and professional career.
As of the time of filing this report, Will Smith’s representatives have not publicly responded to the allegations.
