The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has extended his felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-Maulud.
In a goodwill message, Umahi urged Muslim faithful to embrace the teachings of Prophet Muhammad as a guide for peaceful and meaningful living.
“It is with profound pleasure that I felicitate with millions of Muslim faithful, and indeed Nigerians, on this auspicious occasion of the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him),” he said.
The minister emphasized that the celebration serves as a reminder of the Prophet’s moral teachings of unity, peace, love, and harmony, which he described as essential for humanity.
“These are societal standards that will preserve our nation’s social fabric and drive economic sustainability within the Renewed Hope agenda of unlocking Nigeria’s abundance and prosperity,” he stated.
Umahi also prayed for blessings upon Nigerians, saying: “As you celebrate this remarkable event, may God fill your hearts with joy and happiness and shower His choicest blessings on all who commemorate His greatest gift to humanity.”
He concluded by extending the best wishes of his family, management, and staff of the Federal Ministry of Works to the Muslim community, while wishing them a joyous Eid-Maulud celebration.
