Youth Lynched, stoned to death in Plateau

A Young man in his early thirties was lynched and stoned to death inside his car yesterday night around Domkat Bali in Jos South Local government council of Plateau state, by men suspected to be Motorcycle riders in the state capital.

Our correspondent reports that the Man named Fwimbe Gofwan was heading home when the sad incidence happened .

Sources alleged that the Young man had brushed a motorcycle rider in Jos around Tudun Wada park area of Jos North LGA prompting the riders to give the late Youth a chase and when they eventually caught up with him ,they perpetrated the evil act on the innocent man .


A source who does not want his name in Print alleged that this development has created several tension around the community.

He said the sad incident happened around 9pm .
The source called on security operatives to enforce the ban Motorcycle riders in the state .

In a related development ,the Plateau state government on Tuesday said it observed with dismay the non- adherence of the 6am to 6pm operation period for tricycle operators and the increasing rate of activities of motor cycle operators which he re-echoed remains banned.

State commissioner for Information and Communication, Mister Musa Ashoms made this known after the State Executive Council- SEC meeting, held at the Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos.

The Governor of Plateau state Bar Caleb Mutfwang have in several fora said his administration is determined to bring back night life in Jos metropolis and ensure that lasting peace is restored to Jos .
