Zamfara: GUSAU LG CHAIRMAN EMERGES PCRC BOSS

In the continued effort to reinforce measures against security challenge in Zamfara, the Gusau local council chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Tanko is chosen to double as state chairman Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC).

He emerged as PCRC boss following a unanimous decision at the State Executive Council of the Committee held in Gusau.

According to the release signed by the Committee’s PRO Mallam Jamilu Ibrahim, the unanimous adoption of Ibrahim Tanko was based on his unrelenting efforts he rigidly demonstrates in the bid to curtail insecurity in his local government in particular, and across the state in general.

In a related development, Alh. Lawal Danantu was upheld by the PCRC council as new Vice Chairman of the Committee.

Motion for the resolutions was moved and seconded by the State PRO l and the Provost l respectively.

In his post election speech, the new Chairman pledged to justify the confidence reposed on him as he solicited for the support and cooperation of all stakeholders to enable him consolidate on the successes achieved by his predecessor.

Until his new position, Alh. Ibrahim Tanko was the State PCRC Vice Chairman.

He succeeded Alh. Bello Dankande Gamji, the current commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, who was recently elected the PCRC National Vice Chairman in charge of North West.
