Emir of Ilorin Organises special prayers for new COS to President Buhari

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, is organising a special prayer in honour of Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, the new Chief of Staff, COS, to the President Muhmamadu Buhari. 
The Emir, in a statement issued by the spokesman to the Emir, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona on Tuesday and made available to our kaduna correspondent, the prayer will come up in Ilorin Emir’s Palace on Saturday 19th September 2020 by 9am prompt.
According to the Emir, “In line with the tradition and customs of supporting all political appointees as well as career officers of Ilorin Emirate origin with prayers for a successful tenure in office, HRH, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR is oraginsed a special prayer for COS to President Muhammadu Buhari. “The prayer is scheduled to come up at the Ilorin Emir’s Palace on Saturday 19th September 2020 by 9am prompt. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, few Islamic clerics shall be allowed into the venue in line with COVID-19 safety protocol guidelines”, it stated.
The statement therefore urged members of the public to adhere strictly to the guidelines and cooperate with security agents before, during and after the prayer session.
Professor Gambari, an academician, diplomat and accomplished administrator was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in Wednesday 13th May 2020 following the demise of Mallam Abba Kyari.
