Ruby Ojiakor Faces Backlash for Continued Mourning of Junior Pope

Popular actress Ruby Ojiakor is under fire for her prolonged public mourning of actor Junior Pope, weeks after the late actor’s wife unfollowed her on social media.

Junior Pope tragically passed away in a boat accident in Anambra State, leaving his friends and colleagues, including Ruby Ojiakor, deeply heartbroken.

Ojiakor, a close friend and colleague of the deceased, has been expressing her sorrow over his demise continuously. Recently, she took to Instagram to share a photo of herself with the late actor, captioning it:

“Exactly one month today at UKEHE… Forever in our hearts my Friend and biggest bro ‘AKPA SWAG’ 🙏😭 It is well 🙏 He lives on…”

While some followers have offered their support, others have criticized her for what they see as excessive mourning. Some accused her of mourning more than the actor’s own wife.

### Reactions:

– **chizzy_bnation:** “Madam, please rest… You don’t miss him more than his wife… Stop all this nonsense, it’s turning into an insult.”

– **bems.hine:** “Madam, you don’t rest. Please respect the wife.”

– **oriretan_honour:** “Ruby Ojiakor, it’s unwise how you’re not letting Junior Pope rest in peace with all these clout-chasing videos you’re posting. More unwise is how you’re mourning more than his widow. He wasn’t your husband, remember. Your pain is becoming unwise. Stop making mourning boring for people. Avoid making fans think there are secrets you’re hiding. Limit reminding emotional people of the past. Think smart. Be wise. Don’t be unwise.”

– **jessyglam_hairline:** “Mourning more than the main wife??? Ah, you can do better, please.”

– **official_emmanuelson:** “All this over someone else’s husband… Mmmmm…”

– **prince_afunwa_**: “Chai, some people don’t understand what real and close friendship is all about. Too many memories. Ruby, take heart, okay 💝👏.”
