King Charles ‘Will Never Invite Harry and Meghan Back for Christmas’ — Insider

King Charles has reportedly ruled out ever inviting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to spend Christmas at Sandringham again, with one royal insider warning that their presence would be a “disaster.”

The monarch recently enjoyed another successful Christmas gathering at Sandringham with senior members of the Royal Family, including Prince William and his family. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were once again absent, having not attended a Christmas celebration there since 2018.

Although Prince Harry, 41, is believed to have reconciled with his father during a meeting last September, the thaw in relations did not result in an invitation for the couple to return to the UK for the festive period. According to royal sources, such an invitation is unlikely to ever materialise.

Speaking on behalf of Casino.org, former royal butler and confidant of the late Princess Diana, Paul Burrell, said there was no chance of Harry and Meghan being welcomed back for Christmas at Sandringham. He argued that since stepping down from royal duties in 2020 and relocating to the United States, the couple can no longer be trusted.

“That will never happen,” Burrell said when asked what it would take for the King to invite his youngest son back for Christmas. “You have to think about the dynamics of everyone living under one roof. If you were to bring Harry and Meghan into that very particular royal mix, it would be a complete disaster.”

Burrell added that the family’s ability to enjoy Christmas together rests on shared understanding of long-standing routines and traditions. “Meghan doesn’t understand those traditions and wouldn’t fit in,” he said, claiming her presence would make others uncomfortable. He also suggested Harry himself would struggle, insisting there was no longer a place for the couple at Sandringham.

According to Burrell, concerns about privacy also remain a major issue. “They simply cannot be trusted to keep what happens at Sandringham private,” he said, adding that this would remain the case even when Prince William eventually becomes king.

Despite the ongoing distance, it is believed King Charles may still see Prince Harry at some point later this year.
