APC Youth Group in North-East Endorses Nentawe Yilwatda for Second Term as Chairman

The APC North-East Youth Vanguard has endorsed the re-election of Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the party’s next convention. In a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by its chairman, Ahmed Muhammed, the group described Yilwatda as a leader who has demonstrated capacity for party unity and organisational growth.

The group said its endorsement was based on what it called his contributions to strengthening internal cohesion and supporting the party’s programmes. It also cited his engagement with young party members as a factor in its decision.

“Since assuming office, he has demonstrated the ability to build harmony within the party and advance its objectives,” the statement said. The youth group added that Yilwatda’s leadership has helped improve participation among younger members and enhance mobilisation efforts across different levels of the party.

It called on APC stakeholders nationwide to support his return as chairman, noting that continuity in leadership could contribute to stability within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. The group said it remains committed to supporting the party’s leadership and promoting unity within its ranks.
