2019: Ogbuorji vows to empower youths

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Sunni Ogbuorji, has promised to empower Ebonyi youths through skill acquisition programmes if elected governor in 2019.

Ogbuorji who made the promise during a press conference to officially flag-off his campaign at his campaign office in Abakaliki, said he would run skills acquisition in diverse ways to raise a generation that would assist in developing the state.

“I will ensure that Ebonyi has an ICT skills acquisition centre that will train our young ones in IT and harness their dormant pontentials and in addition, we will run skills acquisition in diverse ways.

“Through that, we will raise a generation that will make and deploy simple drones to hover over their rice fields and spray herbicides and scare away birds, and monitor farming from ICT data hubs down to tracking sales and tastes of the consumer of their products”.

He also promised to tackle power shortage by tapping into our solar energy pontentials and to also engage the right hands in power to build skills centres where the youths that cannot afford higher education after their basic education would be trained.

He reiterated his promise to spend only one term of four years if elected.

“For umpteenth time, I want to state that I, Sunday Ogbuorji shall spend only one term of four years,as governor”, he vowed.

The governorship hopeful said he would harness the various natural resources the state is endowed with to boost its revenue generation base; just as he pledged to run an all-inclusive government.
