Amgbare Ekaunkumo, Yenagoa

A Presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abubakar Atiku have vowed to restructure Nigeria for better if elected.

He made the vow during a visit to Bayelsa State at the PDP party Secretariat, Yenagoa on Friday.

Addressing party faithfuls, the former Vice President said if voted into power come 2023 he will give a sense of belonging to all section of the country, saying the current administration led by APC has impoverished Nigerians.

Abubakar said that his administration would resuscitate all sectors of the economy by making policies that would make every citizen comfortable.

He submitted that the country’s unity in diversity had been grossly tampered with by the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC).

He decried the total collapse of the educational sector as all public tertiary institutions in the Country have been shut down over months due to poor funding that is occasioned by Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike action and appealed to Nigerians to vote him as the next president to address all challenges.

He urged party delegates to vote for him, adding he is the best aspirant with a proven track record of leadership, especially in the areas of security, the economy, and infrastructural development.

“I have the right experience to tackle the Nigeria challenges of insecurity and disunity.

“We have never witnessed the kind of disunity we have today in this country. Nigeria was not as divided as this and the reason for this disunity is because the APC government has not been fair to all parts of this country,”.

Atiku assured Bayelsans that he would not fail Nigerians, saying that the present government must be shown the way out for not being fair to the people that elected it into power.

In his Remark, the State PDP chairman, Hon.Solomon Aguanana described Atiku Abubakar as a detriblized Nigerian with proven track record of leadership.

“He is very humble, Atiku is well prepared, we don’t need people that are preparing and he is ready to take the saddle of leadership to salvage Nigeria.”

Hon. Agunanana said Nigeria is bleeding and needed a competent, experienced and capable hand to rescue.
