As built up to the 2023 elections and the intrigues in the ruling All progressive Congress (APC) to retain power waxes stronger, an Islamic Cleric and strong supporter of Mall. Nasir El-rufai’s presidential ambition, Malam Ibrahim Kasuwar Bacci has dumped El-Rufai
Kasuwar Bacci who is a close confidant of Governor El-Rufai of Kaduna state, and also an ally of retired General Abdurrahman Dambazau, the former Minister of Interior, has reportedly dumped Malam Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai for Vice President Prof. Yomi Osinbajo.
Malam Bacci had reportedly held several meetings with three influential Ministers in Abuja to drive home support for the vice president including the Ministers of communication and digital economy, water resources and Minister of FCT Abuja, on how to win Buhari to support their moves.
The Cleric, who has been dinning and winning with the Kaduna state Governor, for the past two years, promising his support, has within the period utilized the resources of El-Rufa’i to galvanize political support for the vice President.
On several occasion, the Cleric, Kasuwar Bacci, had earlier organized forums to parley with high profile individuals for El-rufai, including scholars of Islamic faith, Professors of Universities, vaptains of Industries among others, but suddenly switched camp and loyalty to the Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, revealing the blue-print of El-Rufa’i’s political ambition to his new found principal.
Kasuwar Bacci with his co-hort, who happens to be members of El-rufai’s cabinet, including State Commissioners and Chief of Staff to the Governor, have held series of meetings for El-Rufai because of their political interest and support in time past.
A source close to Bacci confided in our correspondent that in one of their recent meeting held in Abuja, the trio of President Buhari’s Ministers were in attendance with their supporters under the umbrella of the Presidential ambition of the vice president.
The source gave the names of the Ministers present at the meeting to includes Hon. Isa Ali Pantami, his Water Resources counterpart Engr. Sulieman Adamu and Hon. Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello respectively.
They reportedly discussed and hatched their plan on how to prevail on President Buhari to hand over power to Osinbajo as the next president in 2023.
The core intension of the schemists, among others are that one out of the three of them will be picked as a running mate to Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, while the El- Rufa’I’s cabinet member who was betrayed would be compensated with Ministerial appointments instead of Gubernatorial ticket of Kaduna state in 2023.
The arrow head of the group of the ambitious politicians, Malam Ibrahim Kasuwar Bacci has so far achieved 60 percent in mobilizing and putting structures on who to succeed El-Rufa’i as Governor of Kaduna state in 2023, between the Chief of Staff Muhammadu Sani Dattijo and Dr. Shehu Usman Makarfi Commissioner of Education.
Many, privy to the game plan have variously described it as a display of the highest sense of betrayal ever witness in the political history of Kaduna state since 1999.
Trouble started when the arrangement earlier made with Governor El-Rufai to make DG NIMASA, Buhari’s son in-law, his successor was reportedly betrayed, as the Buhari son in-law, Dr. Bashir Yusuf Jamo, was later dumped by the Governor.
In Kaduna, Bacci and his group had reportedly held several of their nocturnal meetings at one STONEHENGE hotel in sokoto road before moving to Abuja where they lodged at a life camp hotel.
Our sources authoritatively revealed that the reason El-Rufai consistently declared that the power should shift to the South in 2023 was because of his plans to be made vice president to any candidate who emerged under APC from the Southern part of the country.
In some of their secret meetings, the strategies used among others include how to brain wash Buhari and make him believe that only Osinbajo presidency can guarantee and protect his administration’s legacies.
