2023: Gov Wike Declares for President, Pledges to End Insecurity, Fix Economy, Infra

Governor of Rivers State, Nyeson Wike has formally declared his intention to run for 2023 Presidential election.

The Governor who made the declaration at the Government House Makurdi while interacting with PDP stakeholders, assured that his administration would bring an end to insecurity that is bedeviling the country.

The Presidential Aspirant also promised to fix Nigeria’s economy as well as infrastructure within six months if given the mandate at the polls.

Governor Wike noted that he decided to declare his intention to contest for the plum job in Benue State due to the friendship ties he has with people of the state.

It would be recalled that the Presidential hopeful has been insisting that his party, the People’s Democratic party, PDP, should zone the presidential slot to the Southern part of the country for fairness, equity and justice.

Those in attendance included, Governor Samuel Ortom, Deputy Governor, the immediate past Governor of the state, Sen Gabriel Suswam and other Senators from Benue State, State Chairman of PDP, Mr John Ngbede among others.
