2025: Guwor Assures Steady Progress in Delta

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has expressed optimism that Delta State will continue to make significant progress under the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the new year.

In his New Year goodwill message to Deltans, Guwor called for unwavering commitment from all stakeholders to the state’s development agenda.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker reaffirmed the Assembly’s dedication to supporting the governor’s initiatives to ensure that all sectors benefit from the ongoing transformation.

Guwor, who represents Warri South West in the House and serves as the National Treasurer of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, highlighted the government’s focus on infrastructure development, economic empowerment, social welfare, and good governance as priorities for 2025.

He expressed confidence in Governor Oborevwori’s ability to fulfill his promises and drive sustainable development across the state. The Speaker also prayed for peace, prosperity, and happiness for Delta State and Nigeria in the new year.

“As we bid farewell to 2024 and welcome 2025, I, on behalf of the Delta State House of Assembly, extend my warmest greetings to all Deltans and their loved ones,” Guwor stated.

He continued, “As your elected representatives, we remain committed to working tirelessly to promote the welfare and development of our dear state. We will prioritize the needs of our citizens, foster economic growth, and ensure that Delta State remains a place of opportunity and prosperity for all.”

Guwor urged Deltans to embrace hope, unity, and resilience, which he described as defining qualities of the people of the state.

“Let us continue to support one another, uplift those in need, and strive for a brighter future,” he added.

The Speaker concluded by wishing all Deltans a happy and prosperous 2025, stating, “May God bless Delta State.”
