Borno State Government has commenced distribution of handsets to all the GSM phone dealers,recently affected by fire disaster that engulfed their business premises at Joggol GSM MARKET at post office MAIDUGURI,to reduce the level of hardship being faced by victims of the infernor,as they relocate to a new site at BULLUMKUTU ward in the Metropolis.

Deputy Governor of BORNO state,Umar Usman Kadafur,while flagging off the distribution exercise,urged the beneficiaries to remain calmn and orderly, assuring them that the distribution of the handsets would be done in phase through their branch chairmen and that all of them would benefit.

The deputy governor,who handed over two handsets to each beneficiary,informed them, that government has cleared another piece of land behind the new site for onward allocation to those who could not benefit from allocations earlier made.

The gesture, according to the Deputy Governor,was carried out under the auspices of Poverty Alleviation programme and urged those who are yet to move to the new site, to do so as soon as possible and be law abiding by channelling all their problems through their leaders.

All the beneficiaries who spoke at the occasion were full of praises to Governor Babagana UMARA ZULUM and his Deputy for providing them with the necessary environment and facilities to operate their businesses successfully.
