Released in June 2022, “Ile Owo” is a Nigerian horror film that takes viewers on a journey through the life of a young nurse who seems to have found the perfect man, a handsome billionaire. However, she soon discovers that his family hides deep, dark secrets. Directed by Dare Olaitan and produced by Kayode Kasum, the film boasts a talented cast including Tina Mba, Akin Lewis, Efa Iwara, Mofe Duncan, Sophie Alakija, Demola Adedoyin, Temisan Emmanuel, Bukunmi Adeaga, Immaculata Oko-Kasum, and Osarehia Oronsaye. “Ile Owo” is available for streaming on Netflix.

2. “Juju Stories”:
“Juju Stories” explores the concept of juju (black magic) in contemporary Lagos, Nigeria, through three different interconnected stories. Directed by CJ Fiery Obasi, Abba Makama, and Michael Omonua, this anthology film delves into the mysterious world of juju. The three stories are titled “Suffer the Witch,” “Love Potion,” and “Yam,” each offering a unique perspective on the supernatural. Making its debut on Netflix on October 31, 2023, “The Origin: Madam Koi Koi” has garnered attention for its intriguing mystery. The movie, written by Jay Franklyn Jituboh and Dale Falola, tells the story of a dark spirit that awakens after being forgotten for decades, seeking vengeance and causing havoc in the community.
