Well, first things first, the show is geared towards adults 18–49, so do you fit into that category? If not, you are not the target audience. It is up to you to decide what you want your children to watch. If the child is younger than 13/14, they might not get all of the jokes. Also, little kids like to repeat things. Do you really want your 1–3 year old learning their ABCs from Stewie, constantly repeating the phrase “what the deuce ”, or calling you “Fat Man” (if you’re dad) or “Vile Woman” (if you’re mom)? My personal recommendations for an appropriate age to watch Family Guy is 16 above

The power puff girls was originally for Adults and was called the whoop ass girls until cartoon network changed the name to the power puff girls but the name is the only thing that changed because it was very vilonte in the opening him always got punched in the mouth and his tooth flew out with blood, there guns, blood and it has lots of Adult jokes
Johnny bravo
Johnny bravo was not for kids it had lots of very edgy Adult jokes and the main plot was about a 20 or 30 year old man trying to pick up girls, it had strong language and some few violent scenes. my take let your children stay far away

The random escapades of Stan Smith, a conservative C.I.A. Agent dealing with family life, and keeping America safe, all in the most absurd way possible, When the creators of the show made each episode I’m sure they were making it for the enjoyment of an adult, Now i’m not saying that 6-8 year old’s should watch this but say if a matured 14-16 watched it, it would be alright. Now its not bad parenting if they let a 7 year old watch this I mean its completely and always should be up to the parents to decide on what their kids can watch or can’t and weather or not they can handle it or not.
