5 Tattoos That Bring Bad Luck You Should Avoid

By   Milcah   Tanimu

Tattoos are often celebrated as a form of body art, adding a unique touch to one’s appearance and commemorating significant events, places, or memories. However, not all tattoos are created equal—some carry hidden, diabolic meanings that can invite bad luck into your life. Here are five tattoos that you should steer clear of:

1. Spiderweb Tattoo
While the spiderweb tattoo might look cool, it has a dark history. Traditionally, it’s a symbol associated with time spent in prison, getting caught by authorities, or being trapped in gang life. The intricate web also represents the cobwebs gathered during long hours in a jail cell—definitely not something you want to symbolize on your skin.

2. Upside-Down Cross
The upside-down cross is often mistaken for a symbol of rebellion, but it’s widely believed to honor the Devil. This tattoo design is disliked by many artists due to its strong association with negative energies and satanic beliefs.

3. The Number 666
Known as the “Number of the Beast,” 666 is a notorious symbol of bad luck. Many witches and occult practitioners are known to have this tattoo, and some tattoo artists even refuse to draw it due to the negative energy it can bring.

4. The Black Cat
Black cats have been linked with bad luck since the Middle Ages, particularly by those practicing pagan rites and devil worship. A black cat tattoo, especially when placed under a ladder, is considered a symbol of misfortune and bad omens.

5. Asian Symbols
Asian symbols might look aesthetically pleasing, but they can have unintended, unlucky meanings. For example, in Chinese and Japanese cultures, placing chopsticks upright in a bowl of rice is an offering to the dead. Certain numbers like 4 (associated with death) in Chinese culture and 43 (meaning ‘stillbirth’) in Japanese culture are considered highly unlucky.

When choosing a tattoo, it’s essential to understand the full meaning behind the design to avoid inviting bad luck into your life. These five tattoos might seem trendy, but their hidden meanings are far from desirable.
