6 Ways you are weakening your immune system

The immune system helps to fight off diseases. However, certain lifestyle habits and circumstances can alter our immune system by weakening its strength.

Here are the things that make your immunity weak:

1. Stress

Stress is unhealthy for the human body. Prolonged stress can affect the immune system. All you need to do is to go out with friends and laugh the loudest. Laughter is the only available medicine to stress.

2. Lack of sleep

Getting enough sleep is healthy t the human body. The normal sleeping hours to adults is eight hours. Those people who sleep for shorter times are said to have a weaker immune system compared to those who sleep for longer times.

3. Smoking

Smoking is harmful to the human body as it is full of harmful substances that impair the human body.

4. Too much alcohol

Too much alcohol can reduce the white blood cells in the body which are responsible for killing germs. If at all you must drink, drink responsibly.

5. Some medicines

There are some medications that weaken your immune system one consumed. An example of these medicines is antibiotics. Some medications hormones that are connected with the immune system. It is therefore advisable not to use antibiotics unless prescribed by your doctor.

6. UV lights

Too much exposure to radiation can cause your immune system to become weaker in one way. Avoid at all costs exposing your body to ultraviolet lights.
